hey, here i go again....
went to the race at tms (thanks to some very good friends giving me a "spare" ticket)..
welp, what did i see? i saw exactly what i have been watching for years.. an oval race where drivers drive and cars go fast. just like on saturday nite at hundreds of tracks across the nation.
some of the cars are faster for whatever reason (hey i'm no engine geek or chassis engineer nor nuttin like that) some cars just go faster..
disclaimer: don't know nothing about racing 'cept watchin n listenin.. well there was that gofer stage..
this is for entertainment only...............
oft times i listen/read about this controversial issue of engine placement in regards to the driver's ability to command one of those chassis. and the command places them in a category.
i just finished watching a nascar race that was entertaining and also had familar names placing up front.. the question
what has happened to race fans?
one of the better men and drivers in racing was killed doing something he loved doing and knew the risks of doing, in a freak accident. now race fans are becoming a "nanny group" too?
is it because the new generation of race fans are from the helmet, elbow, and knee pad era?
has being willing to take one's own life in one's own hands doing something legal become "outlawed" by society's hand-wringers?

it was great seeing the Rangers play like there are able to. the new Mr. October did it again!!! michael young, holy cow, what can you say about the man? he's been having a cold bat early on in the series, then lately he just cranks it up and shows how important
I was reading through the thread about Fueler's dying and came upon a post by Knockoff that linked to another thread about souvenirs. that thread was from '03 if i recall.
while reading through that thread i was struck by the names of several who are no longer here on tf. some have died and others (i guess they are still living) just don't post any longer.
it calls upon me to question, why have i stayed with this forum for so long?
is it like the "cheers"
