• What Randy's Done Right

We've had some disappointments, sure, but Randy has done a lot of good for the sport and was one of the major pieces in tying things back together. He's essentially in the position Andrew Johnson was post-Civil War: How does he finish the mending and the reconstruction?

He's been dealt a tough deck of cards for sure and he has to balance the opinion of the fans, drivers, team owners, manufacturers, and officials to one cohesive, (or as cohesive as possible), of a product. When we have the small problems that arise, we often forget and lose sight of how tough of a job this is.

He has brought us the following:

    - A new (very racy) car
    - Attempted returns to venues like Loudon, Las Vegas.
    - Multiple engine manufacturers
    - Turbos
    - Reforms to Team Money
    - Stable fianances
    - A new (unbiased) race director
    - Competition (It's not Pensnassi's game anymore)
    - Reforms to the ladder system
    - A way for USAC short trackers to make it to IndyCar
    - Connection with Go-Karting to give a starting point
    - Increased sponsorship revenue
    - Increased (albeit slightly) viewership
    - Improvements to the ABC deal to present alternative ways to watch the races on ABC
    - Races on YouTube

With all of these things, I'm disappointed with the way he's been attacked lately. Not EVERYTHING works out some times and I'm more than willing to forgive the occasional screw up for somebody who get's things done. Sure China didn't work out, sure the aerokits aren't going to work out...That's okay, he's done a lot more to help than hurt the series and much much more than the last guy(s)

Rain. To a race fan this word is dreaded as much as fire to a paper mill worker. A race fan of any length of time has had to deal with it. One of my very first brushes with the weather was the...

Kurt Busch To Likely Attempt The 2013 Indy 500

MA seems willing to risk his chances to win for the betterment of the league. I mean, a crashed car from Busch could set back a team that has Marco in the catbird seat. I am nervous about that as a...
