> The past few years sustaining a familiar roster has weakened ChampCar in the eyes of many. The old expression " Ya cant tell the players without a program" is the main selling pitch at every gate in sport. ChampCar due to numerous situations has sometimes not even had a confirmed roster to be printed in time to make the program helpful. One at the top of this is the Toronto Grand Prix. It has provided one of the largest cheering sections that has been driver based in decades. That is mandatory to sustain.
>
> The elements in each episode of delayed driver announcement all have very justified reasons on one side of the desk and very justified frustrations on the other side where the fans sit writing their check. The costs of racing, the price of re-building, and the 15 yr minimum in the history of drivers providing cash to drive has sustained the growing frustrations of the fans. Toronto in my view provides the most obvious look at this fact potential problem as it sits in a difficulty to solve.
>
> My first visit to the Toronto Grand Prix was 2003. The Paul Tracy support , fan ship and awareness was as if the Pope, The Prime Minister and various world leaders and entertainers were coming to visit. The only missing thing was perfuming the Don Valley river as they did for the Queen. The crowd was a plethora of Indeck hats, number " 3"s, and all things Tracy. Why? He exemplified more than a champion, he was a leader. He was feisty, outspoken and seemed far more like a rough and tumble hockey star than the others. His support to keep ChampCar reputable to find a way off the thin ice hammered and fired buy those who wished it gone took him well passed racer to heavyweight boxing and the knockout was never to be given up no matter what round or the score. He epitomized leader/champion and he was theirs, the Canadian fans.

> Now there have been others who have sustained ChampCar from Canada. All have offered huge contributions in dedication, interest and respect. All are nearing the last seasons, one we lost in a nightmare, and new ones must be found sooner than later. Sustaining the Canadian race fans in their loyalty makes the investment to keep a their wish of someone from their land imperative. James Hinchcliffe is 110% that man.
>
> From the first second you meet James his enthusiasm is only topped by his deep dedication to someday be driving a ChampCar. He stands away from most as he has studied and worked his offering to more than driving, he self starts his own campaign with short films of entertaining value to introduce himself and others. These pod casts provide the missing familiarizations ChampCar needs.
>
> But wait there's more. He has become most fans favorite race commentator. His articulation is only surpassed by his extreme awareness of ChampCar's needs in this hard time. He finds rides elsewhere and will continue to do so but they all are mere road trips when he seeks a true home in ChampCar. James brings something more than money. James brings Self Starting promotion aimed in total dedication and honesty to see ChampCar not only succeed but prevail in world growth we all wish not only returned but sustained. In a time of talk, in a time of hesitations. probations and doubts, James is building to fight the good fight offering anything he can to bring us success. Who better to sustain the Canadian representation that honors Canada so well?
>
> The complement of James as understudy to our main man Paul Tracy is a promoters dream. They are a match made in racing heaven and for damn sure we need some racing arch angels now. These two together , James with his growing mastery of pod casts, comfort in front of a camera , a microphone and lets not forget the largest part, James is a kick ass great new racer, add Paul Tracy and his showmanship and inventiveness and The Toronto Grand Prix and all races would benefit. Always remember that Paul's dressing as a wrestler in Montreal was his idea.
>
> How could this miss? Two great drivers, two great entertainers, two memorable men any time you see them, How can this not be the best of all matchings? Some day in the not distant future our great driver and truest of supporters will move on. James Hinchcliffe is beyond all doubt the truest of heir-apparent to sustain what Paul Tracy has built for ChampCar. He can bring more than money, he can bring more new fans. Who knows? Maybe he can get them to perfume the Don River again,,,,,,,,,,,,,
