just got back from Indycar garages today here at SaoPaulo and... man... once you see those cars that close... you cannot point a single 'ugly' thing on it.. For real! The airbox is Awesome, the Bumpers are beautifull... the car is like... the most beautifull thing i've ever seen!

AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE

After Friday's Carb Day crash, the Byrd Brothers/Panther Racing team swung into action. They went from "crash" to "thrash" and put together a racecar that was mere seconds away from taking the checkered flag and putting Buddy Lazier back into Victory Lane in the Indianapolis 500.

The damaged racing machine was completed and ready to race by 6pm on Saturday evening. There was not going to be an opportunity for a leak check or any installation laps on the newly re-built racecar, so the first few laps of the race were going to be interesting.

So I am the front man for a band called tHe PaRTy...lots of 80s and hair metal tunes. On Carb Day we are playing Rockin' On Main Street in Speedway. There will be a big street festival and lots of fun on Main, right in front of Dawson's! Hope all of you Carb Day folks can make it out to see us, and we want to thank Poison for opening for us!

He's been autocrossing and road racing for a few years and with his wife's nod he's now taking classes at Skip Barber and so far has driven as Sebring and just a couple of weeks ago went to Laguna Seca. He said there well be a "shootout" through Skip Barber for a scholarship at USF2000. I'm not sure if he has his facts straight or not but either way he wants to move up the ladder and is dead serious n it too. He's been working

TF Milestones and memories

Thanks to one of my TF friends who reminded me that I was getting close to the TF/No Life Zone, with a milestone of sorts.

At a time when social media threatens to send message boards to the cyber-scrapheap, TF remains a place to visit at least once a day.

The most important asset I've received from TF over the years is a group of friends of all sorts. A few such as racefan20 and itsanonwingthing were (and are) good friends pre-TF. But since then I've been blessed with a group of quality people who I can call friends.

First among equals (starting with the oldest) would be Fishburger, grogg, richie and Liz. Mr. FB has been a friend to treasure. His dry and self-deprecating

We got hooked up with some tickets to Anderson Speedway today

Snow61 got us hooked up with some tickets to Anderson Speedway for today. They were running Midgets & Sprints on the high-banked asphalt oval. What a wonderful way for us to spend a beautiful day here in Indy. It was my first time watching these live.

What a perfect way to get an open wheel racing fix while IndyCar has an off week. We've never been to the Little 500 before. We always took it easy the day before Indy. We both looked at each other and knew we'd be back to Anderson at the end of May.

As a diehard CCWS fan, at the start of 2008 I decided to drive 800 miles after getting off of work on Saturday afternoon to see the race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday afternoon. I wasn't anti oval; I had been to the Michigan 500 during the CART days, but I had made fun of the 100% throttle 1.5 mile ovals in the past, but decided hey, if I'm going to embrace unification, this is it. I remember being really excited to see a 25+ car field for the first time in years! I saw the appeal of that form of racing even though the formula wasn't my favorite ( I remember Viso doing some pretty wild outside passes in the HVM car that day).
