I believe the Midwest has already gone to the summer blend, if that's what you're referring to.

EDIT: It was last week, according to this story out of Chicago.
I'm starting to understand why so many women feel negatively toward males. I had always assumed that the predators made up a small fraction of male-kind, but I may have been wrong. When you impose yourself on an unwilling target, you do great harm to both sexes. Time to grow up, boys.

Those gas stations by an airport are always rough.

They are in busines for people like you who are catching a plane and need to return the car first.

They know you arent going to say lets drive around and find a cheaper place

Another price spike, this time to $3.899, in Indy.

The west coast is getting hammered right now, despite falling oil prices, because of refinery issues.

Saved a bit filling up the Mazda and Burban yesterday then, 35 gallons at $3.44 per gallon, with a .20 Kroger card discount.

I was leaving the Speedway today around 1pm and saw that the Sunoco on west 10th across the street from Mug & Bun was suddenly at 3.86 (when it's 3.85 and 9 tenths I don't call that 3.85) and it spooked me enough to duck into the Thorton's at Lynhurst which was still at 3.56 (I believe I already explained this) to fill up even though I still had 3 quarters of a tank.

You folks living in Indy put up with way too much crap... We'd be rioting in Tampa if they tried this crap on us.

It's down to 3.50 in Lakeland Frank

You've got a few cents more in taxes over there tho.

I'm told that in the Tarpon Springs area since I've been up here for the last 3 weeks that it has steadily gone down from 3.59 to 3.48 without any of the shinanigans they put up with here in Indy.

Lots of places under $3.30 here in SC now.

Theres a Shell station at exit 1 on I-26.

I will be topping off there right before I enter NC en route to Indy next Wednesday.

Gas prices have stopped falling nationally, for the moment. Strange. I know there are problems out west, and the Speedway-dominated areas had a spike yesterday. But I'd be surprised if that were the whole story behind the national prices.

This is typically the time of year when prices really leap upward. But theres nothing typical about things these days

Necessary maintenance at each refinery runs on a fairly predictable schedule. I seriously doubt that a refinery would shut down and not sell product for a while in an effort to drive up profits for its competitors.

Don't get me wrong: I hate high gas prices as much as you do. But I'll give some deference because a lot of angry people have investigated these kinds of things and come up with little to nothing.

BTW, one of the off-line refineries on the west coast, in Washington, is off-line because of a fire.

Stupid summer blend...only the Gub'ment could come up with such an arse-backwards way of doing it...

If they were really looking out for "the enviroment", they'd just pick the enviromentally friendly fuel blend and make that the national blend...

    Suddenly supply problems are eased...

I guess it was just the west-coast/midwest issue propping up the national average, which has started trickling down again.

It's nice to be $.20 below the average... for a change...

Seems this may not be much of a campaign issue after all.

Well, not to make a CE thread out of it, but the fact that we are conditioned to believe that $3.71 is some sort of bargain is pretty sad. And yes, I know how much gas costs in other countries.

A bunch of stations in South Carolina have dipped below the magic $3 mark.

Gas is spiking to $3.699 across much of the Indy market today. Get it at the lower price right now if you need it.

We're in the $3.27s.... plummet baby plummet!

A couple of years ago for 10 minutes (it seemed) it was $1.99 again... I always tear up when I think of that day...

It was just so freakin' beautiful, Man!

I was sort of expecting to see sub $3 gas later this week.

I saw $3.02 in Sumter, SC yesterday.

Hard to believe it was 7 years ago when I was getting PO'd that I was down to one place that sold gas for $1.99

Paying over $2 that first time was pretty depressing

There was one Summer, it was either 1998 or 1999 where the oil market was collapsing for some forgotten reason and gas was down to 68 cents in NJ. I can recall my wife spending $4 to fill her Ford Aspire.

I remember last Fall gas took a short tumble and I did see high $1.90s at a few SC stations but then it came roaring back and then starting going for the sky

I drove all over Indianapolis last night and I was surprised to see such varying gas prices
It ranged from $3.43.9 to the aforementioned $3.69.9.
The price was much lower on the eastside than the westside.
    Have a very blessed day!

$3.89 at local Speedway this morning.

About 3 miles to the east and Speedway has it for $3.41.
