What's on the menu for 5/2?
I may try to make an appearance. I'll likely have one of those brisket sammiches!
Have a very blessed day!
I'm on my way to the Pit Stop!
I hope to see a lot of fans there!
I wish to thank Mother Duck for an outstanding evening!
For those of you that couldn't attend, for one reason or another,
you missed a fun time!
We watched the '62 through the '65 Indy 500s and it brought back
a lot of good and bad memories. It's hard to believe those Races were
50 years ago or so!
Also the food is just outstanding at the Pit Stop!
I hope to make it back out there sometime soon!
BTW, the Pit Stop will be open early Sunday for viewing
of the Indy Car Race.

~ Sanskrit poem attributed to Kalidasa, "Salutation to the Dawn"
During the month of May we show old Indy films. We showed early 60's last time you were there. Last week we showed late 60's early 70's.
This week we will be showing 70's era.
Look forward to seeing everyone.
Our little gang had a great time at the Pit Stop tonight!
Good food, good fellowship and race movies! What else can you ask for!
"The series may be hesitant to say it, but the day is here for everybody that loves IndyCar racing to link arms and help each other out. Anybody who doesn’t want to do that needs to find something else to do with their time.”

Sorry everyone been on the wild and busy USAC race trail. With the rescheduled rain out events we have been on the road almost every week from Wednesday thru Sunday sometimes even starting on Tuesday and getting back Monday for the last five weeks with Sprint week coming up.
So I apologize for not updating, have barely been on my computer visiting sites, too busy driving to races. As you can guess we are taking a little break thru June and July looking to start back up the third week of August after I get back from the Belleville, Kansas=Oskaloosa, Iowa swing. See you at the races, till then.
Wednesday November 13 marks the return of Racing Movies at the Pit Stop Barbeque Restaurant in Brownsburg.
Yep it is that time of the year again. Where we gather indoors and watch some history from glory days of auto racing, enjoy some good food and share some wild stories. So stop by and join us on Wednesday evenings. We start showing films around 6:45 till 8:45. Mark it on your calender.
Hot Laps: 6:45 pm
Feature: 7:00 pm

A nice bunch of racers gathered for the first week of dinner and a movie night. As usual the stories were as good as the movies. What is really interesting is when you get to hear, as Paul Harvey use to say, "the rest of the story". We have been fortunate to have a lot of the real players show up and share what really happen on the day the movie is about.
A few years back one of the great ambassadors of racing Johnny Boyd stopped by for film night. We were watching a film of the 1958 Langhorne race. You may remember the amazing fire that engulfed his car in that race. When you see the films the narrator states that Johnny Boyd is trapped in his fiery car. John told us he was out of that thing before it came to a stop and he was on fire. He spent from June till October in the hospital recovery from that incident. He said that two spectators jumped over the fence immediately and took their coats off and smothered the flames out. He never got to find out who they were or thank them. He was told they got thrown out for jumping over the fence. He was always very sorry he never got to thank them.
That is just one of the stories we have heard over the years of movie night.
So come on out and join us

Will there be a movie night anytime soon? We've been at the Pit Stop to watch the first two Indy Car races and the turnout has been rather small. There's always good food to be had and lots of TV's to watch the races and any other sporting event that's happening. Harold, Eric and Tyler are excellent hosts!

I hope to make it to the Pit Stop tonight. Hope to see some of you there!
I was at the Pit Stop tonight but the room was full, mostly by Pacer fans. I just came on home. I'll try again on another Thursday.
It's too bad we can't fill this room with Indy Car fans on racedays.
We are bringing a bunch of race fans to the Pit Stop Thursday night. Last year there were 10 of us.
Will the Pacer game, if they lost tonight, be a big problem for getting seated and served to watch race flicks? There were a whole room of Pacer fans when I tried to get a table two week ago.
We had another fantastic night watching the Roadster Era! There were 10 of us again and we had some good food and watched some historic moments in Indy 500 lore!
We'll be back next year for sure!
Also some of us will be there to watch the Indy Car races this year. Come on out and give it a try! You'll be glad you did!
We will be watching the 2nd Detroit race this Sunday at the Pit Stop. It's a great place to watch races and eat some good grub!
With summer here we have gone to showing films once a month in July and August.
This week July 3 we will be showing films at the Pit Stop.
In August we will be showing race movies on Thursday the 7th.
So come on out and share good times and get some good food while watching races of yesteryear.
Starting time 6:30 checker waves at 8:30 pm
Have not decided yet. Got a suggestion of what you would like to see, 40-50-60-70's?
I just started eating at this place this year. It is fabulous. A great place to eat.
