Detroit police release bra sizes of its officers

You can't make this stuff up. Detroit is going to get hit with lawsuits which it can't afford.

They should have to release the bra sizes for the male officers as well just to be fair.

The police chief here in Cincinnati just resigned to take over the police force in Detroit. What was he thinking?

Since when is it news when a police force admits that it compiles statistics on busts?

The station reported that several female officers say they have faced ridicule and are filing two grievances against the department. Even if Love made an innocent mistake, the damage they feel has already been done.

That these policewomen feel aggrieved enough to file complaints and mention lawsuits is ridiculous. It's all part of the lawsuit lottery mentality.

What harm has been done to them?

I know some guys who could probably guess their bra sizes just by looking them over.

But we don't know the history of the atmosphere in that department, in terms of how officers are treated. In this case, it's plausible that this "accidental information sharing incident"(which I don't believe for a minute) is just the latest in a series of incidents that have culminated--"the straw that broke the camel's back." IF that department does have a "history," yet refuses to conduct themselves in a respectful way toward ALL employees, then another course of action is necessary to get their attention. Alot of stuff that happens gets swept under the carpet. In this case, it's rather unique, and the press is making hay with it. OTOH I've never seen a list on the bulletin board, listing the length of officers junk. In many cases, some officers would be downright mortified.

I'll bet you they did the same thing when the vests for male officers were delivered and nobody made a peep. Most likely on page 2.

The most acceptable practice these days is to apologize and everything will be okay.

You don't want to be suing Detroit anyway...

If you won you might end up getting stuck with Belle Isle or City Hall and from what I hear both require a lot of maintenance.

My point is that stupidity is oft times excused by an apology...just look at the news...it happens every day.

I would say that stupidity is punctuated by the apology, but I know that I don't excuse it.
