If Wheeler Walker Jr. was playing I'd go...

For the people who are saying "yawn" and "who?" That shows me how far detached some people here are. Blake is one of the most popular artists and tv star out there right now. This will draw a lot of people, bravo IMS

He's only been making Number 1 hits for 15 years...I'm not suprised people haven't heard of him.

He may be popular to millenials but he is not popular with this baby boomer.

Get the tickets, it's the best insurance you will ever buy (I'm not even married and I know that answer).

Plus he's usually the winning coach on "The Voice", which means 15-25 year-olds know who he is even if they're not country music fans.

That, and he's a big news story for the last few months with his breakup from Miranda Lambert, and his new relationship with Gwen Stefani. He's pretty much a household name now.

    Not in my household.

I can see why you wouldn't want to bring in AC/DC or Metallica. You don't want to upstage the main event. Blake Shelton is an excellent choice with an added bonus in Gwen Stefani. I would love to get her autograph.

I'll pass. Hopefully they don't let Gwen sing that dreadful new song she did during the Grammys.

Now get him plugging the hell out of the 500 on the Voice http://www.nbc.com/the-voice

He'd probably be a great Ambassador for Fuzzy's too!

I have to say, whether you like pop country or not, they have landed big names in Country/pop music the past three years for the Saturday night show. Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Blake Shelton are all top 5 acts.

I Like Rock and Hard Rock. I just wish they called in Rock instead of Country.

Damn, Newgie just shamed me into taking my daughter to the 500 on twitter.

Yeah, I'm far more a Rock fan, and really grew up listening to southern rock, but I'm learning to like more country. I guess that's why I kinda like Jason Aldean and Eric Church. I quite honestly don't know who I would try t oget as a "rock" band that would draw anywhere near what these guys draw.

Yep, the only way I want to see Gwen singing is if she brings the rest of No Doubt along with her.

This is one of my favorite threads every year. I don't know why I derive so much enjoyment from reading the fogies fall all over themselves trying to undermine whoever gets chosen. IMS could get Jesus Christ and the Angelic Choir, and people would be on here going "who's this Jesus guy? IMS couldn't get the Stones or something?"

    Never change TF!

I don't know the opener, and don't care about the headliner... But it sounds like a good draw for IMS.

Good choice. I'm not interested but I'm not the demographic they are going for.
