I definitely see it. I think it might be the best clue yet. They did a piece on the photo on the Today show. The facial
recognition guy they had thinks it her and Noonan.

I'm not seeing it either. The picture's resolution is so poor you couldn't make any kind of conclusion as to who is in the picture.

Who was it tagged as at the time?

Funny how all this bits of evidence for things tend to show up right before a new documentary on the subject comes out.

Well, it would kind of make sense that if you were doing a documentary about a missing person, you would continue to do your research, which might turn up something like say a photo?

It's the 80th anniversary of their disappearance.

It's also high time for Ric Gillespie's latest donor-supported South Seas vacation. During which he will no doubt dig up more PBY parts, tell people they just might be parts of an Electra, and gear up financing for the next one...

The report might be worth watching. I did some reading yeasterday and there are better enlargements of the photo, some stories from locals, an eyewitness account from "the last known person to see her" etc. One British report was done a few years ago, his story and the captured and held as spies by Japan story has been around too.
I've never followed all that much about the theories but this new report at least "looks" somewhat interesting but I ain't hangin' my hat on it.
Of course there's Bigfoot and Al Capone's vault too but it maybe, might, possibly will have something tangible.

Remains of a Caucasian woman consistent with her, and artifacts consistent with what were on her plane were discovered... 77 years ago. https://www.seeker.com/earharts-fina...766067187.html

I don't know, they seem to have something they are saving for the release of the documentary... and there is that 38 foot long airplane on the barge being towed by that big ship.

I assume there are folks that really don't want or would accept a definitive conclusion to the lost pilot/navigator story.

The same with Bigfoot, Kennedy and those secret hills in Florida to go mountain biking.

Although I see a half dozen effeminate guys everyday at work that look just like the so-called Amelia in this photo from behind..

    I'm convinced.

Earhart likely lived out her remaining years enslaved in Japan building transistor radio's exported to America.

Something I can believe. Our Government knew all along but didn't want the Japanese to know we had broken their codes, so they sacrificed her. It does make sense

It does make alot of sense.. I just don't know why after the war the government did not release the information to the public

It would be a tough thing to admit. It was a total cover up. Jullian Assange wasn't even a twinkle in his daddy's eye at the time, but perhaps one day he will shed some light on what really happened.

What really happened is 1937 long-distance navigation getting the better of a mediocre pilot over a remote stretch of open ocean.

It's fun to believe on coverups and conspiracies and such, but sometimes things just go wrong. Especially in aviation, and especially in aviation back then.
