    IU Basketball 2016-2017

Surprised nobody commented on their YUGE win Friday night. I was driving during most of the game but had it dialed in on Watch ESPN on my phone so I could see some of what was going on. I caught the last couple of minutes of regulation and all of overtime from the hotel. Great win for the Hoosiers. They are very talented and deep. Should be a fun season.

It got plenty of comments out here in Kansas...

I enjoy it when KU loses to IU. The only thing that gives me more pleasure is when they lose to Wichita State. They can beat any other team in the country (Bill Self is a pretty cool guy, I wish more coaches were like him), but not IU and Wichita State.

If you know their, um, "entitled" fan base, you'll understand...

These refs have quick whistles. Can't believe they called a tech for hanging on the rim there.

Watched the second half of the IU/Kansas game while riding from Orlando to our condo.. good game, lots to be encouraged about.. I love watching OG play, but he also scares me.. once he can play within himself we get much better...

Early in the season so they call everything whether it's actually there or not. It's call "emphasis" apparently. the Iowa-Seton Hall game was a whistle fest with some real head-scratchers.

B1G refs always seem to call games a lot tighter than in other conferences.

I think half of IPFW's funding might be gone.
Some fans claim one series or another runs "real race cars." What's everybody else running, fake race cars?

I know this board has a lot of IU fans, but that was one entertaining game. Congratulations to FW on that signature win. Gotta be the greatest win in their history.

Definitely an "IU home game on the road"... and probably the biggest upset in the history of college basketball within the state of Indiana.

Funny that their fans stormed the court but most of the fans there were IU fans.

The Mastodons have had a legit program for a few years now. They had 24+ wins in two of the last three seasons. Sure, this is an upset (although IU probably was overranked).

But it's not like this is NJIT or Incarnate Word.

My personal choice for biggest upset happened on 11/27/93.
I'm starting to understand why so many women feel negatively toward males. I had always assumed that the predators made up a small fraction of male-kind, but I may have been wrong. When you impose yourself on an unwilling target, you do great harm to both sexes. Time to grow up, boys.

They are a legit team at their level for sure. A well coached and disciplined team too.

Their coach is a class act, he lives next door to one of my pledge brothers.

IU was ranked #3, and the Mastodons have never before beaten a Top 25 team.

    Huge upset.

I have a co-worker with a daughter who goes to IPFW. Far as I know, she's the one other person in our department with an Indiana connection.

    I'm gonna get crap today

IU definitely did not use their size advantage last night. Kept teeing up the 3's though.

Pretty typical of a Crean coached team, not many good hard screens set, opposing team smacks IU in the mouth and we have no answer..

I would like to think this is one of those "good loses" a reality check before Big Ten starts up.... but Crean could well on the hot seat... Great recruiter but...
