    Force of habit.

The better question is "Why did I respond to this thread?"

I think Media Boy should change the title... "I can't believe anybody thought this was Threadworthy"

Cop Rock was worth it the one time I watched it.
But Reno 911, that, was a worthy cop show.

Reno 911 was brilliant. I may have to go back and watch those again.

Also, I just realized that the same guy who played Lt. Fancy on NYPD Blue was in Cop Rock. NYPD Blue was the best cop show ever. That's a proven scientific fact. You can look it up.

Don't need a poll to know that one.

I was partial to Homicide: Life on the Street. For scientific factuality, see Warming, Global.

They might have been pre-NYPD Blue.

But without NYPD Blue we would have never seen The Killers, The Bridge, Better Call Saul or any of the stuff we consider good on TV toda...

Oh Wait... I was thinking of HillStreet Blues.

    Nevermind.

If you ever happen to be in Reno and get pulled over by one of their finest, whatever you do, do not ask them,

    "Didn't I see you on Reno 911?"

    Trust me.

    I did. But I'm not anyone, I'm a nobody.

Lots of actors did each of Hill Street, Cop Rock, NYPD Blue as they were all variations on a theme by producer Steven Bochco.

Maybe it was Sipowicz's (sp?) purported male butt-cheek nudity as to why I never watched NYPD Blue, Gurney.

I'd vote for Hill Street Blues.

    Or Dragnet.

There was more gratuitous nudity in NYPD Blue (just because that was part of the shock value of the show) than any other show. It was the first show where you saw butt cracks and boobs on network tv (well, at least the first one of any notoriety). 99% of the time it was just thrown in at the end of the show.
