Keep pushing Robert! That was very cool to see his legs moving on his own power I believe.

Wow, pretty awesome. A big day. This is an amazing story and there's more to come.

Love seeing the grin on his face in between deep breaths. The effort this man is putting out through his rehabilitation is enormous, and considering what Grizzlor mentioned about his body really falling into a state of atrophy, it is nuts to see him on a Bike with what looks like no/minimal assistance from the machine.

Robert Wickens is the last person I would bet against right now.

Incredible video. He has mentioned the down times he has suffered, and I have to think that being able to spin did wonders for his psyche.

If one needs a little inspiration to make it through a tough day, just watch that instagram video.

If Robbie can ever make it back into his car, I can't think of another team in motorsports that eclipses the feel-good story that is SPM. Between Sam, Hinch, and Robbie, there's ample material for a great movie. I'm so happy to see Robbie's progress.

Our opinions don't matter. It all boils down to Robert-what extent his recovery takes, and when that happens, what he wants to do.

If he wants to race and the doctors clear him, no matter what we think, he's gonna do it.

If he doesn't want to race, he won't.

I haven't followed all the twists and turns of the thread but I think this says it.

For anyone looking for more info on what Dario went through health wise, he went fairly in depth into his accident injuries (pre and post Houston) on his appearance in the Dinner with Racers pod. Separately I believe it was only this past year or maybe late 2017 that he had his 1st track day in a Porsche he owns. It took him that long to feel comfortable. (Source on that was one of his Instagram posts)

I think someone mentioned Ryan Shazier earlier in this thread and his recovery has been remarkable and gives me hope to how far Robby may recover.

I can assure everyone that my opinion doesn’t matter since my posts, which were respectful in every way, and simple expressed an opinion not shared with some, were censored by the mod.

My only crime was to suggest that when a driver suffers serious injuries that make him more likely to be injured again, I would prefer that driver to put his health first. Not exactly a new concept in racing! And news flash, while we’re at it, the earth is not flat.

Again, I am a Wickens fan. I was so impressed by his talent and only wish him the best in his road to recovery. He’ll be successful no matter where the road of life takes him, in or out of the cockpit.

We just removed discussion that speculated on outcomes - including, probably, some comments that were tangential to that discussion, but would have been confusing without that context. Hope this helps, and thanks, everyone, for your support for Robert.
