NASCAR Truck Series champion @Brett_Moffitt has been told by @Hattori_Racing that it has signed a driver with funding for the 2019 season. Hattori needed funding to keep the doors open. Moffitt is now a free agent and looking for the next opportunity.
I'd rather have 10% of the world interested in the ICS than 50% of US that NASCAR currently has

That is a sad comment on the state of racing in NASCAR when a champ can't keep his ride because of a lack of $$$!

Never dreamnt i'd wake up to Jimmie Johnson wants to run Indy road courses and Kurt Busch is on tap to run the 500 again. Brett Moffitt appears to be on the road to Indy.

I'm sure Chocolate Myers had no problem with it.

    Vicious downward spiral.

Present something that generates little interest. Sponsors leave because the investment doesn't justify the return. Teams turn to pay drivers which alienates the remaining fans. More sponsors leave due to lack of return because even fewer people are watching. And so it goes.

And it costs an absurd amount to run a truck compared to what sponsors want to pay and what the purse covers

I’m impressed the team made it thru 2018.

That viscous spiral puts a real damper on my mood.

It sure puts a damper on my mood too. The viscous spiral cannot dilute the fact that my friend is chunking out 10's of thousands of dollars per weekend to hang around the back of the XFinity series.

My interest is "How much bloody money does this guy have and when does it run out?" Everytime I pull onto the interstate, I have to see his name either on the horizon or in my rear view. I can spot those green 18 wheelers a mile and a half away

However, It keeps me tuning in to the XFinity Series.

I find that a strange coupling.
The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that spec, for lack of a better word, is good. Spec is right. Spec works. Spec clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the modern motorsport spirit.
