    Kattie Hargitt out of NBC

    Find out on Twitter:

"Just got around to listening to the @marshallpruett podcast with @Hinchtown and learned that @katiehargitt will not be part of the @IndyCaronNBC team next year. Really bummed about this. Katie took time to speak with me and take photos at Pocono and was so nice. Will be missed!"

This is a complete guess, but I wonder if they might have recruited Katie Osborne from the Mecum auction programs on NBCSN?

My other suggestion would be Jamie Howe but given that she's supposed to be working for Radio Le Mans rather than NBCSN for IMSA coverage, I doubt that she has the gig.

Please just say no to her being anywhere near the IMS

I suspect NBC probably has someone in mind as opposed to "local person from Indianapolis market" for that spot.

I disagree. Obviously it will be a young woman with very little experience in broadcasting. Unless NBC has a prospect I suspect IMS productions will be finding someone either related to someone with the series or IMS or some local Indianapolis weekend reporter who attended school in Indiana.

I'm from a place called the internet. Nothing disturbs me.

Shame, I liked her and it seemed like she enjoyed the series. Best of luck to her in the future.

Katie Osborne would be a no complaints replacement!

My guess is Dinger will get a tryout as IC pit reporter when he's not at an IMSA race.

If she's covering the Pacers that's a lot more of a full time job than working ICS races. And if she's covering the Pacers during the NBA season there's a fair bet she'll be covering other things for FOX Sports during the summer, like the other reporters do.

It's not as if she's out job and down on her luck, she just landed a different gig.

Prediction is she goes to the radio network

Didn't she stammer and stutter quite a bit? I too think she enjoyed what she did and was passionate about IndyCar, but I think they could improve that position.
Be a better driver, move right except to pass.

That one time she talked in the booth during indy practices on youtube, she knew her stuff. Shame she never got a chance to do more of that.

She responded with a tweet that led me to believe she would still be covering IndyCar.

I’m not going far. I’ll still be around IndyCar! I’ll let you know my plans once they’re finalized 🙂

Then I'd have to watch races on mute...

Marshall also said something about losing someone "to" the paddock, which seems like an indication that she's still gonna be around.

You know who is available and has Indycar experience: Jenner.

Getting serious- I don't really care if it's a male pit reporter or female. Just get a good pit reporter in there.

Pretty sure she worked directly for IMS too so maybe she was able to keep that gig and will still do stuff for them during May.

Yeah she's still involved. I think Indy lites? She tweeted something out a few weeks ago about looking forward to being on the grid with them .
I'd rather have 10% of the world interested in the ICS than 50% of US that NASCAR currently has

Based on a tweet a few days ago on the launch of IndyCar NBC Gold, I think she's probably working on exclusive content for that.
