Charlie Kimball in for only 5 races this year

Charlie will run: St. Petersburg, Indianapolis 500, Texas, Pocono and Laguna Seca.

I'm suprised by the choice of the 5 races. Odd that Indy Grand Prix is not one of them. I'm also suprised he's not running at Mid-Ohio. To date that is the only place that he has won and he's usually fast there.

My guess is they are the 5 highest rated races of the season. Season opener, closer, and the big ovals. It may also be influenced by who they can or will be putting in the car the other 12 races. Carlin knows road racing and their pool of drivers certainly comes from that background and may be someone not willing or wanting to run the super speedway ovals. That probably leaves them finding someone for Gateway.

It'll be interesting to see who races the # 23 in the other races!

It looks like RC Enerson will be in a Carlin car at COTA Spring Training

I actually saw Charlie in airport this week. I called his name, he stopped, smiled and shook my hand. Really nice guy.
