There is a trivia question answer! Who was his team owner?

    Jack Roush.

BTW. There has never been any real beer sponsor in C^RT.

Roush and Protofab (Jones' sophomore team in question) split around '86. I don't believe JR had anything to do with Jones' '89 CART effort.

    If you count associate sponsors...

From memory, looks like it may be '89: Bud, Miller and Labatt's as primaries, Stroh's (Galles) and Corona (Monarch) as associates. I recall Corona (and/or Corona Light) also running as primary in selected events.

I show Galles as Valvoline only. But the rest are good. I don't have a picture of the car.

    Thanks.

Danny Sullivan's Galmer (1992 or 1993?) was sponsored by Molson.

1992. Little Al's Teammate. Molson was also Al's associate sponsor.

Thanks for the photos...I was mostly using the CART boxscores.
I wonder if some of these were one offs for Indy... like Jim Beam??

    97- Brahma Pruett & Boesel.

I didn't look that one up... did I get it?

Dick Hammond's #56/58 Gohr Genessee Beer Wagons ran from '81 to '86 (not '79) with Bigelow, Saldana, Chassey and Moran.

    Garza had the Schlitz car.

Old Milwaukee was Patrick's primary sponsor for Ganassi in '84 and an associate in '83.

The Little Kings Hoffman entry was also from '84 (but was a March 83C) for Gehlhausen at Indy. Does this brand still exist?

Kapsreiter was Daly's Indy sponsor. But who actually owned the team (the #29 Lola and the #48 purchased from Foyt), and does this brand still exist?

darn it, not fast enough. I had S. Chassey in the Genne wagon, Cheap in the Old Milwaukee and Josele in the Schlitz car.

IIRC Sheldon Kinser drove the Genesee car in 1979 and 1980 for Leader Cards. He did not make the Indy 500 in 80 after banging the wall in practice. The cars were painted metallic maroon with yellow numbers, I think.

That is correct (#24 Watsons) - I'd forgotten about those. Not sure how the Leader Cards sponsorship came about, but Hammond's was because he/Gohr was a Genessee distributor.

What beer did the Whittington's have on their sidepods. Wait! Scratch that, it was cocaine sponsorship. (this excludes the 1980 Sun System sponsorship)
eliminate the rear wings, and let the racing get back to the racers

Jim Beam has been on Wheldon's car all season.

There's a fair number of beer-powered vehicles in my Indy car set...

There will be a lot more eventually as I've just scratched the surface of what's in my archives.

    All my sets......

And at some point there will even be a root beer powered snap or two of Loquasto.
