What the heck, I was bored.
Take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Superspeedway (Mario Andretti/Paul Newman IMAX Film) deserves a mention, as well.
Grand Prix gets my vote from that list.![]()
I make a motion to permanently ban whomever it was that voted for Six Packas best ever

I liked "Cars"![]()

Definition of support series: A series that needs the support of the headliner class to draw a crowd.
Thanx C.U. you da bomb! By the way, My ten year old daughter asked.
What about the movie with the guy from the pacifier.
Now I know which movie she meant to say,
But does anyone else?
We'll win it next year baby.
Fast & Furious or whatever it was?
I kinda drew the line at actual race cars.
Also goofed and made it possible to vote for more than one, which I see someone figured out and voted for all of them.![]()
I will second this motion but only if the 2 people who voted for Driven are forced to watch that movie "A Clockwork Orange" style for 24 hours strait.Originally Posted by KevMcNJ

I voted for Grand Prix because a) Yves Montand was dishy (I know, he dies) b) Maurice Jarre did the music (which he also did for "Dr. Zhivago"...one of my all-time favs
) c) the racing sequences are cool and d) ditto the split screens.
OK, who voted for Driven? Not funny......![]()

I voted for Grand Prix, but would have voted for Superspeedway if it was listed.

Thanx for posting all of that, Outlaw. I didn't vote for it because modern times have improved much of what can be presented, but I've watched The Big Wheel a couple dozen times and for an oldie but goodie, it can't be beat, IMO.
While I voted Grand Prix, that was a highly underated movie IMO with the great Al Pacino.Originally Posted by Jacoby

For the record, I never had a problem with CART in 1995. Its when they turned beligerant twards IMS and their fans for supporting the IRL that turned me off them.
Watching 'Driven,' I always end up picking out the drivers as they crash one by one...oh, and whoever posted 'Cars', two points to youOriginally Posted by Indycarjunkie

The best ever was A Man and a Woman.
Cars is pretty fun, too.
I feel that the six that voted for "Driven" be suspended for an undetermined amount of time. What is wrong with you people.

What's wrong with you guys, how is Le Mans running such a distant second? I was already a racing junkie 9-year-old or so when I just stumbled onto this on the ABC Thursday night movie or something. I didn't blink for two hours.
Ever run back the Sarte Grand Prix crash frame by frame? Ol' JP--well, the dummy--is bailing before the car even gets to the guardrail. Ah, theatrical license.![]()
Happiness is Friday morning, Road America, first session, rolling down pit lane, course is clear, we are green!
TCM showed The Crowd Roars (1932) this morning. Action shots with riding mechanics! And hurt drivers having their ambulances race to the hospital after THE 500!
James Cagny as racer Joe Greer who goes from the penthouse to the outhouse after a wreck in which a competitor dies. He decides he's Yellow and can't do it anymore, but a little lady gives him hope and an untimely flat tire late in THE 500 gives him the chance to sub in the best car in the field. A late wreck by a competitor brings the Yellow streak back to the surface, but when he tries to quit his riding mechanic stands on his foot pushing the car to the front. Will he hang on to win? You'll just have to rent the movie to find out.

Officer Mitchell, I thought you said you didn't want to have to come back here this evening.
Hmmm, let's see.
This: Grand Prix
Or This: Driven
