I still want to know why Shuman got screwed out of a starting position.

Other than that, mighty fine show! Sign me up for next year already.

    - Brady Bacon earned some respect from me today - great drive
    - Kevin Swindell was rock solid
    - Dave Darland and Shane Cottle both were in the hunt - nice to see. Just nothing for the Demon.
    - Good to see Bobby East own up to that crash - maybe he grew up some
    - Cole Whitt looked awesome for a young kid coming out of karts not long ago - a few less people wanking out in front of him and he would have been pushing for a top five

Did he take off his steering wheel, or was it his neck collar? Yes, I'd also like to know what happened to the "Shoe".

I thought when they interviewed him after he made the main he said he didn't have 50 laps left in him, that he was worn out after 20 laps, that he'd been driving without power steering, but I might have misunderstood.

Really enjoyed the show, watched with some good friends who invited me--missed my friends from the Flag Room though. Hope everyone had a great time.
    It really IS all good!

That's what he said, and that's what crossed my mind - that he knew he wasn't competetive and "withdrew".

Looked like the Demon tried to give it away a couple of times with his bicycling act. But he had what it took to win. Others such as Clauson were coming on, but it wasn't to be.

This, from a crowded and rowdy McGilvery's.

And, as I'd been coreectly warned by a fellow TFer, the camera did spend way too mucb time on the NASCAR boys, especially Tony, who did manage a top 10.

Wanna know what's wrong with NASCAR? They've gone from Junior Johnson to Jimmie Johnson.

Wanna know what's wrong with IndyCar? It's gone from dirt ovals to street races.

C'mon now Danny, did you expect something else - really? I just hope all the "down time" doesn't scare future short trackers away. Really, how often do you see your local track get "dug up" nightly? Heck most they do is put a little water down, then run hot laps to get it back to what it was prior to the watering.

Oh Little One - The Chili Bowl is noted for redoing the track to try and keep the surface competitive.

All-in-all I thought that the Pay-Per-View was well done and very entertaining.

Shame that they did not interview any of the Eastern Boys expecially the ARDC gang.

The French Grimes interview was priceless.

Yes, I know that, but how about some (NASCAR fans) that were watching a short track race for the first time - will they think this is done at all dirt short tracks? Agree the show was a good one. I woul dhave like to have seen more info from th enight on the 1/2 hour pre race show, though.

Congrats to Demon on the win.
Great race, it might have been more interesting if the Throttle could have gotten by DD...I think he had something for Damion.
Nice seeing 'Little Fiscus' make the feature ( watched his dad drive modifieds/midgets back in the day)
Glad to see Davy Ray didnt take out Stewie in the B!!!
Swindells injector fire was interesting...wonder if one of the stacks got knocked loose in the wreck.
During the end credits, they showed a quick shot of the Shoe talking with Emmitt. Ronnie didnt look too happy.
All in all, a well spent $24.99 and already looking forward to next year!

yeah the flag room was busy, but the brickyard crossing dining room had 3 tvs, and about maybe 4 tables with anyone at them. Very small crowd. Food was good though. Had my required fried cheese and a small pizza. Fish and chips was thursday night.

The Flag room was too busy so we headed into the dining room to watch. I know exactly which table you were at, Jason. I only wish I knew you were going to be there. There were 3 tables at the back and Tommy DaComic and I were in the middle one.

The best thing about being in the dining room was being able to hear the tvs. (and cracking up when you guys were whistling the Andy Griffith theme when Cole Whitt came on the screen).

Was a fun night of racing. I was rooting for Dave Darland to win it but he just didn't have enough to take the spot. I was really impressed with the kids that were running. There's some great young talent out there!

We pretty much had the Museum to ourselves this morning. Took the track tour with two other folks, one guy from Calgary, Canada and a gentleman from the Netherlands. It's pretty cool to see the Moto GP construction going on.

well he really did look like Opie. And please do something with that hat!!!! I'm sorry I didn't recognize you. I really didn't recognize anyone there last night except Dennis Dori, and that was only after he handed us the flyers. Then I figured it out. I was pulling for Dave too. Really hoped he could pull it off somehow. Every time I see him at a race around here he's out on the track feeling the dirt or something, then last night he got some air time doing that too. He's always been one of my favorites ever since I moved to Indy. I don't think he raced around my area of OH very often.

    indycar

not a one. But with the room and the special rate at the hotel I expected a crowd. It was a great place to watch the races. Also Indy is home to many of the drivers, teams and cars being run at the chili bowl. Good racing city for this kind of party.

no worries some of the newer ones think a debris yellow always takes 12 minutes
Faster than a bullet from a gun
    He is faster than everyone
Quicker than the blinking of an eye
Like a flash you could miss him going by
No one knows quite how he does it but it's true they say
He's the master of going faster. -George Harrison

Had a good time at the Brickyard Crossing, I can now say I stayed there!! We watched from the Flag Room, and they had a good crown in there. I never thought to walk over to the restaurant to see if I recognized anybody over there. Craig Dori's dad did pass out Swap Meet Flyer's, but the most "famous" person I seen was Joe Roush (and wife), who was watching with large group in the Flag Room. The flag room's Big Tv could have been a little more state of the art, maybe a nice, bigger Flat Screen is needed! Tim and I both won umbrella's that were given away as Door prizes, and I think most people there ended up with something in the way of prizes. Food was good, I had a bowl of Chilli and some Spicey Cheese nuggets. The Sunday Breakfast buffet was awesome!! A visit to the IMS Museum is always worth the $3, and Tim finally took a ride around the track on the bus tour.

How much of the brawl after the B in the pits did they show. I know two cameras were working it. Buckwalters crew was right in the middle of it. Security had four guys on the floor in head locks.

    Then these guys showed up

Getting harder to walk around. Two many strangers in the pits that has no Idea of the danger.

They openend the side doors on the north side this year between races to clear it out. only problem is, it was 25 degrees with a north wind on Saturday night. Still greatest short track race in the country. I will be back. only 150 miles over there. Danno, if you want to split a room next year on Friday and Saturday. YOu know how to find me.

I had Darland in the pool so I got 120.00 of my money back.

I have to tell you guys on Saturday night any NASCAR fans in the stands that thought it was OK to stand up and watch the action were quickly and loudly told to sit their $300 leather-jacketed-Tony-Stewart-hat-wearing azzes down.......

I had a great seat, the guy beside me was a track prep guy at a bullring in Iowa. I learned some good stuff. The funniest comments of Saturday night came from a guy behind me.

The track was rolling up a hard cushion in 3 and 4 about halfway up the groove. They sent out a box blade, a roller, and a sheepsfoot to work it over. After about 15 minutes of watching this nonsense, the guy yells "If they want it that smooth then just pave the sonofabitch, otherwise LET'S GO RACING!!!"

Someone else I saw wandering the pits. First time he had been back in 12 years. Sleepy Tripp and his wife Arron. He was walking around the place with K.O. Yes Kevin Olson, the # 1 trickster.
