If you're refering to at the track, usually some suds and food, some eye candy and some racing thrown in for good measure.

And some of the Junior Nation to make fun of.

none of the above is essential to my enjoyment of a race.

although not having a nice rendition of the national anthem would leave something lacking, imo.

I agree. And I usually enjoy having a good flyover since a NASCAR race is one of the few events big enough to draw one.

I just need seats with butt room and leg room and for everyone in front of me to sit the eff down so I don't have to get up. Also put food and beer and a urinal in and under the seat so I don't have to get up 20 times a race to let others out of the row.

PS. The seats on the fronstretch at PIR suck. When is that track going to spend some $$ and upgrade them?

Minimized meddling from the sanctioning body enhances the experience substantially, IMO.

A good, clean, fast race and a quick short-cut out of the track that nobody else knows.

I put "Other". If they want me to put in the +12 hours it takes to go to a race track I want support races on the same day! All that other stuff isn't racing.

Gimme a break. How about wanting to watch a bunch of hard headed, take no prisoners drivers goin' as hard as they can to pass whatever's in front of them.

In other words, a real car race.

I voted other. To me it is much more important to see open wheel cars. NASCAR is OK for a change of pace, but IMHO a real oval racing experience requires the cars to have open wheels. Midgets, Sprints, Indy Cars are all preferable to Tin Tops.

You mean like when a teammate or a friendly driver waves by the other driver because "they need a favor" to lead a lap?? Or when at Phoenix the other night Ryan Newman was leading and let the 2nd place driver through, because he was faster?? Or when Mike McDowell got blasted because, even though he was a lap down and was racing for position, he didn't let others pass him?? Notice the word let. That's not "take no prisoners driving".

Of the choices listed in the poll. I dunno. The anthem of course. America the Beautiful. Jets.

Screaming fans. Sunshine, haltertops, short shorts on the ladies(except the spandex ones on the big ladies)...
