Is the "danica window of opportunity" running out???

Motegi is the last non "mergified" race opportunity for danica to win and, within a race or two, several of the adopted cc drivers will be up to par on ovals, moving her out of the top ten .

With the "mergification", is it, even, important, anymore, for danica to win or is her importance to the league been diminished????

The starting grid at Motegi looks like a great setup for a danica win. With only Dixon and Helio to dispose of, the rest of team andretti can lead her to the front and set up a spectacular last lap danica win.

Yes. I'm glad she's in the series for the much-needed attention she brings to IndyCar, but it is now clear that she is, at best, a mid-packer by talent. That's not to say she might not get lucky with pit strategy or a crash taking out better drivers and get a win, but I'm no longer holding my breath. Would be cool to see her win tonight, though.

...I'd say she's above-average talent wise. Yes I definitely believe the window of opportunity is running out if it hasn't already been shut. Being with AGR she still has a shot at a win on an oval (if she drives a flawless race, the team executes mistake-free, attrition or accidents to several contenders along with extenuating circumstances including alignment of all the planets).

She'll never see a win on a road or street course in an Indycar race.
My first Indy 500 was 1973, haven't missed one since 1981. To date I have attended 35 Indy 500's, and probably 100 or so other IndyCar races (CART & IRL).

She for sure will have it much harder with al the new guys in town. But I don't really think that she was ever going to get that win anyway. I don't think she really needs to win but she does need to regularly have strong showings.

She will, however, remain the 'draw' for the IRL for some time to come...

you've made your opinion on Ms Patrick quite clear - don't think we need repeated threads regurgitating the same ....
