    July Fireworks

July 4th is my one of my wife's holidays to work this year, so I'd like to find if any cities around Indy are doing their fireworks before or after the 3rd and 4th. I've googled, searched the star site and aroundindy.com and can't find a list of when other cities do their fireworks.

Greenwood's Freedom Festival is this Saturday (28th). Parade, street fair, fireworks at night.

    Here's the website

Chicago always has their fireworks on the 3rd of July. It is sort of nice, you get to see Chicago, then go to your neighborhood show.

OT--I posted this a while back in here. The fireworks shows might be smaller this year. Seems that a major city in China had explosions at a whole bunch of fireworks factories. 90 percent of fireworks comes from China. Also, the seaports of China are refusing to have fireworks come thru their cities. And, on top of that, a freighter exploded last year loaded with fireworks. Shipping lines are also refusing to carry fireworks.

Feel free to park and sit in my old lawn just off 116th St. by MacCallister's. I am sure the new owner won't mind

What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...

Fireworks in my neighborhood started on Raceday and will continue until after Labor Day.
My neighbors must have more money than I do.
    Have a very blessed day!

Forgot to mention about Chicago. We have a great tourist attraction on the lakefront, Navy Pier. It has all kinds of restaurants, many different boat rides and cruises, a huge Ferris wheel and Merry-Go-Round. Well, all summer long, they have fireworks three times a week. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Navy Pier is the number one attrraction in the state of Illinois.

    My 2 cents...

I would invest in seeing the Indianapolis Indians play on the 4th with their post game fireworks show; following that of course is the big old fireworks show from the top of the regions bank building. Baseball and blowing stuff up, can't go wrong with that...
Still looking for Carmen San Diego....
