With Motogp coming to the town of speedway this weekend, has anyone heard of any possible chances that this might bring any biker gangs into town, possibly the hells angels

Why, you want to rumble?
I don't think MotoGP attracts that element of the motorcycling community.
It's a Hoosier thing, you wouldn't understand...
i'm a lover not a fighter, i didnt think they would but i watch a documentary on the hells angels & just didnt realize they are still around. they have a nicer webpage then most ics teams.Originally Posted by midtown
There might well be some "colors" around this weekend as alot of your hard core bikers are sport enthusiast as well.
It's not all about crime and drugs. You'll see alot of sport bike groups that look rough and wear leather vest as well.
Not saying there is no a criminal element to most clubs / "gangs" but there is also alot of good things these clubs do for their communities.
Central Indiana has become a hotbed once again for the Angels though so you may see some Red and White.
If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE, feel free to stand in front of them.

i didnt know that about hells angels & central indiana, i knew back in the 90's arizona was the hotbed for those guys. so if i see any red & white should i turn around & go the other way
Having been to all the other events at the Speedway I am looking forward to seeing what type of crowd MotoGP draws. I am thinking it will be packed.
So if I see some guy wearing red and white, and looking like a hell's angels........
I should say "nice put!"?

Glad to see steroetypes towards motorcyclists are alive and well.
You will rarely see cruiser types at a bike race. Most of the 'colours' you will see are the brand loyalty people have towards a certain manufacturer. Eg. = Green - Kawasaki, Blue = Yamaha, etc...
When I went to the WSBK race there were 'Christian Biker' gangs armed with bibles. Ugly looking... but harmless.
It's a legitimate concern, though I think the rowdy types--if not the actual gangs--go more for the flat track stuff. That's my experience anyway, having been to AMA Pro Series events.

There is some truth in that... I went to a flat track race up here and saw some dudes I did *not* want to talk to.Originally Posted by Jamski

I really doubt you'll find any "serious" motorcycle club coming to Indy to cause trouble on the street, and if one should their camping area will be plainly visable (not to mention the accompanying police presence). Don't go in if you don't belong and you'll be fine.
