Two weeks ago, while at the Red BullGP, I went to the museum prior to the pit walk. As I entered, I asked one of the guys taking tickets if they knew Dwight as he had just started working at the museum last May. For the next half hour, it was one glowing praise after another. Although I never met him outside of a few PM's here at TF, it was great learning more about a man who was passionate about our sport.

Last night I attended the Midwest Sprint Car Series 10K to win season finale' at the Lawrenceburg Speedway. A year ago for this race, Dwight drove down early from Marion, IN and he and I enjoyed a long lunch and bench racing session before returning to the track for the racing. And now Dwight is gonebut not forgotten, nor will he ever be. Save me a good seat Dwight.

Dwight would have been 61 today. Taken away too soon, too young.![]()
Dwight was as passionate about the sport as I ever seen a person and a master racing statistician to boot. We are around one week removed from the anniversery of the loss of Dwight.
I hope Dwight saves me a seat too.
The 63rd anniversery of his birth. Dwight is still missed.
I never met him, sad to say. He and I communicated quite often via e-mails.
One of the several decals on my Chevy truck is in memory of Dwight. So every time I hop into the truck to go...usually to a race, I think of Dwight. A mixture of sadness and appreciation.
