I have one ticket available for free to anyone who can use it for the Experience Hendrix concert at Whitney Hall (in The Kentucky Center) in Louisville on Monday, October 27 at 7:30 pm. My aunt passed away early Sunday morning, and the calling for her will be Monday night. Therefore, I will be unable to make it to the show.
This concert is a tribute to Jimi Hendrix and his music, and will feature Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and a number of other great musicians. The ticket lists Eric Johnson, but I'm not sure if he will be there or not. The Kentucky Hall web site says Jonny Lang and Hubert Sumlin will be there, along with David Hidalgo and Cesar Rojas of Los Lobos. The special treat is the appearance of former Hendrix bandmates Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox.
Here's a link to the concert's page on the Kentucky Center web site: Experience Hendrix
This is a great event, and my ticket is a great seat: Row A, Seat 15 -- literally front and center. It's a $75 ticket.
Obviously, this is very short notice, so I'm probably not going to find anyone who can use the ticket. I hate to see it go to waste, so I wanted to at least give my friends at TF a chance at it.
The ticket will go to the first person who PM's me and says they want it. Please keep these things in mind:
- I only have one ticket. As far as I know, the show is not sold out, so you should be able to buy more online or at the door if you need them.
- You will have to be able to meet me in the Indy area sometime after 8:00 pm Sunday or during the day on Monday to pick up the ticket.
Thanks, guys. Let me know ASAP if you're interested.
