Man, that Kurt Warner is a football player. .

How did he fall off the radar all of these years?

    He played like crap.

edit - he was ok last year and had some good moments in NY, but wasn't nearly the player he had been during the Super Bowl season.

    Easy.

Quaterback is one of those positions where your sucess or failure is 100% reliant on the Offensive line.

Have a good O-line and any Quaterback will look like a pro-bowler.
Remember the Washington Redskins and the Hogs, They made Joe Theisman and Doug Williams look like they could play.

    Now Warner has a line.

The Big Red Sieve isn't a good offensive line. The Cardinals average a league worst 3.4 yards per rush.

What the Cardinals do is utilize three and four wide sets to minimize blitz packages and rely on Warner to get the ball out quick.

Certainly not 100%, but probably at least half.

The Patriots have proven that this year. Some people would have me believe that Brady and Cassell both just magically came off the bench and caught fire after only their first few starts because they're amazing QBs.

Warner is certainly good when he has a lot of time to throw and 3 Pro Bowl caliber receivers, for sure.

I agree with your analysis but comparing pass protection to rushing average isn't necessarily a tell tale. They are different art forms.
