    Raider Nation

    Your team blows.

This comes from a Raider fan dating back to 1974.

Can somebody please convince Al Davis to Just Go Away Baby.

Then shouldn't you be saying "our team blows"?

TD is getting tired of suiting up for the game every week and watching his team lose.

The kids don't invite any friends over on Sundays, either.

With the possible exception of Barry Goldwater, TD is my favorite conservative.

Looks like poor Al has lost a bit off the fastball along with that magic touch he had for so long.

Who's really running that team anyway?

Wanna know what's wrong with NASCAR? They've gone from Junior Johnson to Jimmie Johnson.

Wanna know what's wrong with IndyCar? It's gone from dirt ovals to street races.

from what I heard, Al still is. Big part of the problem
Faster than a bullet from a gun
    He is faster than everyone
Quicker than the blinking of an eye
Like a flash you could miss him going by
No one knows quite how he does it but it's true they say

    No.

See, these moving vans pulled out of Baltimore back in '84 on a dark snowy night...

Meh...if you haven't heard about it by now...

The Raiders have passed the Clippers as the worst franchise in major American sports. I don't see it changing until Al gives up control. It's too bad that Davis will be remembered that way. The guy used to be awfully sharp.

They've really improved since Al fired Kiffin.

The Raiders have now tied the Lions for 2nd place...
    ...most consecutive 10+ loss seasons.
    6 straight!
But they have a ways to go to catch Tampa Bay:
    12 straight!

As a long-time Raider hater, this is absolute heaven to me. But hey, they are and have been one of the all-time great chokers in sports.

Though I respected them during their AFL days...

Agreed. It's a very ugly situation for a once proud franchise that I didn't particularly liked but always somewhat admired Davis for popping the NFL's baloon a few times.

Raiders will be a playoff team in 3 years, maybe 7-9 or 8-8 next year. It's bound to come around in the NFL these days few teams struggle that bad for that long without it coming around.
No where in your rambling incoherent response did you come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. We are all dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

I'm not so sure about that. Have you taken a look at their roster lately, and the contracts that they have handed out? And on top of that, they will be hard pressed to get any top coach there due to the Al factor. I suppose anything is possible in the parity of today's NFL, but I just do not see them rising up again anytime soon.

The Colts sneaking out of Baltimore and into my state didn't change my allegiance either.

Sorry but I cheer for the home team. Always have.

Pacers, Colts, Hoosiers, and the Phillies.

Not to mention the 5A State Champion Center Grove Trojans.

Hey TD, did you hear that CG is ranked in the USA Today H.S. rankings? They are also in two other rankings in 50th and in the 90s.

It's all arbitrary, but still nice to get the recognition. I'm happy an Iowa team made it in one (4A champ W.D.M. Valley).

It had nothing to do with Baltimore, it had everything to do with the alcoholic ******* Bob Irsay. He destroyed a proud organization, why would anyone want to play for a team he ran?

    John Elway & Eli Manning.
    Same cloth.
    Great athletes.
    Outstanding QBs.
    Spoiled brats.

CG #7, even ahead of perennial power, unbeaten Long Beach Poly, whose #14, but their season is going on for another game or two I believe.

It's impressive, but as I said I think it's arbitrary. Nobody will no for sure who the real top team is unless they play each other and that's never going to happen.

Uh, comfortably , you are welcome to your opinion, but you are wrong on John Elway.

Let me preface that I don't like Elway.

That being said, I have talked to several people who have attended Broncos' road games and told me that John Elway came out after each game & signed autographs until nobody else wanted one.

Hard to call a guy like that a spoiled brat.

Wasn't John Elway the first player to ever come out and say he would not sign with and play for a particular team?
Please correct me if I am wrong.
The NFL has a great system letting the worst pick first.
But that did not fit the plans of Mr. Elway and Mr. Manning.
I'm sure both are fine gentlemen.
But these tails wanted to wag the dog---and did.
I thought my comparison of the two of them spoke about the basis of my opinion.

Elway had opportunities in baseball too.
