I've expected the Cardinals to get blown out in every game so far. For that reason I'm going to have to go with Pittsburg, by a large margin.

With two weeks to get some people back on their feet, Steelers big in the end (by at least two scores) but it'll be a good game through 3 quarters. Game ends with the Cards offense on the sidelines and the Steelers killing the clock out once again.
Despite the 9-7 record coming in to the playoffs, Arizona is a good team. They were the better team for 45 minutes today - that other 15 minutes nearly cost them their big chance though.
The two offenses are probably pretty equal with a slight edge in ball control to the Steelers and Arizona having more big play capabilities. When it comes to defense though the Steelers are much better and that is what wins the game.
Wonder who punts for the Steelers?![]()

I really don't see how Arizona will handle the speed of the Pittsburgh linebackers.I don't think the Cardinal defence can put enough pressure on Roethlesberger to stop the Steeler oofence over 4 quarters.
10.5 might be generous.
I just hope that its a good game and that there are no more "head on collisions". That was scary.

It's an interesting matchup anyway. You don't have to be that good to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl lately. As in Bears two years ago. I was thinking when the playoffs started that whoever the NFC sent was going to get beat by the Steelers. But I'll be pulling for the Cards.
My gut (and my being only one point behind in numb's playoff picks competition) is telling me to stick with the Cards, so I shall.
I also have this feeling that Fitzgerald has only just gotten started.

Heart: Cardinals.
Head: Steelers, by a ton. Miracle teams rarely win the Super Bowl. The two-week break, publicity, and, shall we say, opportunities for entertainment do them in.
Don't want to take anything for granted, but as a lifelong Steeler's fan it's hard not to think this one is in the bag.
Of course, I can afford that sort of cockiness cos I'm not playing the game. The black and gold, hopefully, will not replicate my arrogance.
That was maybe the single hardest hit I've ever seen in a football game. Yowza.Originally Posted by Plectraholica

Could be a blowout, but they said that about Baltimore and New York 40 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if Kurt Warner delivered the groceries one more time.

The commercials for sure. Especially if that certain Go-Daddy commercial is to be shown.
What is the halftime agenda? I'm surprised they don't have the inauguration at halftime.![]()
A first ever appearance for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, likely performing at least one tune from his imminent new release "Working On A Dream".
It's a different discussion, but I'm conflicted. I don't like that he uses his off the stage popularity to espouse his political opinion, but I'm a big fan of a lot of his music. Always have been. But not his politics, most of the time.
When he turns to the protest song, I respect his right to combine art and his disgust of the right. Popular music, some really, really great music, has been protest music. I think "Ohio" by CSNY captured that political time in a way no other artist, despite their medium, has.
That said, I love his music, his story telling, and his showmanship. I just hope he doesn't turn his stage at halftime into a musical political ring.
Yep. He has ample opportunity to make a stand. The Super Bowl is not the venue.Originally Posted by FindlayNative

How would you feel about Ted Nugent singing a politically charged song during halftime?Originally Posted by PHJIndy

Political statements at football games or at any other event I can do without.

Wanna know what's wrong with NASCAR? They've gone from Junior Johnson to Jimmie Johnson.
Wanna know what's wrong with IndyCar? It's gone from dirt ovals to street races.
Steelers.
I want OT this time!!!!
and Id rather see a high school band from Phoenix play at halftime.
Ted Nugents music sucks and Springsteen was good until he started trying too hard to sound important

I want an OT Superbowl because I want the team that wins the flip to run back the kickoff to the other team's 35, then kick the winning field goal without the other team even sniffing the ball.
That will set Truth Detector into a frenzy and Ren will be along to tell us how the kicking team's defense had a chance to stop them. Or in this case, their Special Teams...

"Ohio" is a protest song written by Neil Young in reaction to the Kent State shootings of May 4, 1970 and performed by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. It was released as a single, peaking at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although a live version of the song was included on the group's 1971 double album Four Way Street, the studio version of both songs did not appear on an LP until the group's compilation So Far was released in 1974. It also appears on Young's Live at Massey Hall album, recorded in 1971 but not released until 2007.
