abc was at Ontario. Whether they showed the last part live, or later on WWOS, they were there.

IMS radio did the radio broadcast and Sid and Freddie were there. So I would assume it exists.

Plus I proposed a IMS Video department, where You could walk in, order your favourite 500 on DVD or CD for radio broadcast and recieve it. Adding the CART and other USAC stuff which the speedway owns and has would be great too.



Don't worry, all of the CART stuff, and looks like the surviving abc USAC stuff still exists and resides in the hands of the IMS.

Someone at this forum once posted that he had reel to reel of a radio broadcast of Ontario 1970 but didn't know how to transfer it.

Boxing closed-circuit telecasts have survived over the years which is why I would like to think that somehow the tapes of the 500 broadcasts wouldn't have been discarded so quickly after the event.
