    Mattress shopping.

I need a new bed because I can't fall asleep, wake up sore and find my bed too hot. It's an old but little used foam bed with a memory foam topper. The memory foam is hot, even with a pad on top, and the bed is both rock hard and heavy on pressure points.

I need something firm but not too firm, tight top, and would like to go latex foam because it lasts long and breathes well.

Any one here have any favorites, beds to avoid, etc?

I'd love to buy a Marriott bed but they don't ship them to Canada, because it's basically what I am looking for. The price would be high but it's a high quality Jamison mattress and the latex lasts much longer than springs.

I bought a Sleep Number bed, and it solved ALL of my back-pain problems.

They can be a little pricey, but I got one of the lower-end models and I'm very happy.

Also, you'll never have to rotate the mattress, and it will last for decades.

If you have Verlo around your area try them. You can pretty much design your own mattress, and they build it for you in back.

I would recommend you shop around, lay on a few, see which are too soft or too firm, because you don't want an extreme either way, and you can also know how hot or cool they seem to the touch which means you need to wear light clothing which you need to leave on because it wouldn't be right to disrobe in public as that might offend but after a few tries you will probably find the one you want.
