If Martin loses the title to Jimmy Johnson by less then 20 points, that would really blow. With the ten points in chase seeding you get for a win, losing the BY 400 to Johnson is like a 20 point swing in the seed. Since you know Johnson will be tough in the chase, as always. And if that happed it would feel like Martin lost te title on a restart. Since whichever of them got out front at the end was most likely going to win. Although Mark gave it a good try anyway.
Sigh. Martin can't quite ever win the big one. Daytona, the Brickyard, or the season championship.
Oh well. I hope Mark makes the chase and runs well in it. But I both wanted him to win the BY and grab the seed points too.
