The truly sad thing about that picture is the fact that I saw the two of them coming toward me from about 20 fee t away and just stood there dumbfounded like some goofy kid (I was 25 1/2 at the time). I never even thought to pick up the camera until they were in the view you saw above. Man, did I feel dumb!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While looking at that picture, I noticied that strange device the guy in the striped shirt was holding.
I am not proud of it, but my mind put those two ladies and device together and well, ... you know....... things just kind of took off from there.
Anyway. Come on guys. Put some more racecar pictures up. This is the best thread in my 8 years on the site.

No it didn't, nor did Mike Groff, according to the official box score. If you're ever in doubt, here is a great quick reference site. Just click on the year in question, it's pretty sweet, I bookmarked it and use it often.

I agree, always liked to see what kind of designs and imaginations the drivers had. I'll go digging deep in the photo boxes and find some older ones, but for now, here are some recent ones. I shot these at Indy and Richmond. All are from 2006.

Which reminds me, I think I need a new scanner. Sometimes it scans photos and they come out really dark. (such as the Cheever, Crawford and Dobson photos below). Is that normal or do I need to invest in a new one?
