Buddy's in the picture? I can't seem to get past Kara
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security

Is it just the picture or is his waist smaller than Danica's?

I took this at Penske's mega race plant in Mooresville, NC. I thought it was an interesting look at aero. This car looks like a fighter jet...

This is one of those interesting pictures from what really is another era now. What's Bruce Jenner doing these days? And what's with the geeky kid on the left who still looks sorta official? And dig the totally 80's hairdo on the gal in the back.
I'll see YOU at the races!

Yea he does, but on a closer look he actually looks like he's probably in his 20's. But still, between the pen around his neck, the stopwatch, the official looking clipboard and the CART shirt, he looks like he's supposed to be there.

And how about Indy car racing on NBC? Not likely to see that again anytime soon.

MIS? I'd have said Pocono due to the Schaefer hats and beer can.

I don't disagree, Pocono was just my first impression when I saw the picture.

Schaffer was an associate sponsor of the Machinist Union team in 86 IIRC

This was emailed to me by "Lou" with the request to post it. He thinks it was 1978. Linda Vaughn and some trainees. Enjoy and thanks Lou!

I stared at that picture for about 8 minutes, trying to come up with a snappy rejoinder....

One look at the two dudes on the left and right kinda says it all better than I ever could....
    Thanks Lou!

Danny Sullivan also 1985 @ Mid Ohio. Special thanks to the Porta Jon service for placing them so strategically in the background.

Not necessarily "old", but definitely "cool".

Penske's first appearance in the IRL.
