    Cole Slaw

I had it with all you Lemming Kool-Aid drinkers who vote for Potato Salad all the time.

    I'm voting for Cole Slaw!

I'll second that. Can't stand the combination of potatoes and eggs.

I'm extremely picky when it comes to both cole slaw and potato salad. But I'd have to say I'm more a slaw person. You can't slap a heaping spoonful of potato salad on a pulled pork sandwich!

This could get ugly watching the arch-enemy of potato salad trying to invade it's turf...

Funny thing is, I'm more of a cole slaw guy than a potato salad guy--and I'm the one who always votes for potato salad.

For those of you who do not know the story, it goes back to what I can only refer to as "Poll Fest" on TF a few years ago. There must have been 25-30 polls going on simultaneously on the Offtopic page. That's when I started doing the write-in vote for potato salad.

I'd much rather have Amish Marconi Salad over Slaw or Potato Salad!

As for Slaw I'll take KFC's over most anyones.

I like my cole slaw to be a little stringy. I hate the ones that are minced so fine it is like a mush.

So you love potato salad and cole slaw, except most of it is crap. Makes sense to me.

I find more potato salad I enjoy than I find good cole slaw. The only real way to wreck potato salad is to make it too sweet and runny, (I've had some good sweet southern style, but don't make it a soup please...) or overcook the potatoes. But if slaw fits my tastes, I love it. It's harder to find good slaw though. And I agree with the post saying it should be coarse and more stringy, and not shredded too fine.

Must be what we grow up with because the original recipe my mom and sisters use for both slaw and potato salad is the best. Once in awhile they get creative and use a new recipe and it's rarely as good.

I was actually thinking of trying THIS ONE.

This is from a new show on Food Network. The host was the winner of the "Next Food Network Star" contest--it's a guilty pleasure.

Decaf, never needed it. But, every morning I used to make 4 cups of coffee. Had a mug that would take 3-2/3 of that. Sat down and read the newspapers. Then went on the computer do do my daily routine.

But, now, I put 4 tea bags in the carafe and just add water to the coffee maker. I seem to enjoy this better than the coffee.
