    Gunfight at the OK Corral

On Oct 26, 1881, the famous fight took place in Tombstone, AZ.

On a vacation, four of us drove thru Tombstone, AZ. Main reason for being there was that there is a copper mine just outside of town. Every day, back then, at a certain time, they blast, and there is a parking area where you are supposed to see the explosion. It is an open pit mine, miles across. Well, we heard the blast, and didn't see anything. After a few minutes, dust and smoke come around a corner of the open pit mine. The explosion was out of view.

That was kind of interesting. Reading a story published in the U.K., about an American historical event that has long since passed into the realm of folklore.
P.S. Would ya' like to try yo' luck at my faro table, cowperson?
My major malfunction is...I want the people I love and respect to live forever...The problem is...Life don't work that way...

Funny, I was reading about that earlier today and didn't even realize that it was the same day of the year...

Crazy that with all the trouble that Wyatt Earp was around, he died of natural causes without ever having taken a single bullet.
