The Problems With AOWR And Why It Probably Can't Be Saved Except For The 500.

Hello to all my friends from the old IndyCar forum. I have been taking stock of the forum here quietly for the past two weeks and I like what I see so far. Although I have seen no sign of Dexter (a.k.a. Shameless Plugger) I'm sure he will show up too. I have enjoyed a great football season and am now looking forward to the start of AOWR. How long it will remain around is certainly up for debate. To you people who don't know me, I have been a fan of open wheel cars for almost 50 years. I have seen the best of times and the worst of times, which is now. Can IndyCar regain its rightful spot as one of the top formulas of racing in the world? Probably not. And I will explain why shortly in my white paper on the state of the series. Regards, Ernest

your white paper won't belong here in the IndyCar series forum.

It will belong in the IndyCar series direction discussion & Fond Farewells forum: http://www.trackforum.com/forums/for...-Gomer-Simpson

Ah, yes; the long promised, but still not seen, white paper.

Don't get me wrong; I am looking forward to reading it, if only because I know that you are good for strong & bluntly worded opinions.

looks like the mods are getting ready to be busy again.
My first Indy 500 was 1973, haven't missed one since 1981. To date I have attended 35 Indy 500's, and probably 100 or so other IndyCar races (CART & IRL).

I feel like 'I'm so saaaaaddddd' manifestos and white papers were more topical a few years ago.

Now, they seem out of date.

I need to spend more time checking this. I read the first post - thinking that's not what the title said - and wanted post "h" but several people already did!

Maybe you should go over to crapwagon.com - probably get a better reception.

If this is not the meaning of the word paradox, I don't know what is.
I am a fan of the IZOD IndyCar Series, Formula 1, and AMA Supercross in that respective order.

The TF version of 'pffft', or not even worthy of a response.

Actually I believe it has many meanings but all related to 'not worthy of a response'!

It's a teaser trailer, like at the movies.

That's his MO. Builds anticpation for some folks, I guess, but mostly just fear & loathing for the rest of us.

Hey, EM! Good to see you made the jump. Although I may disagree with it (or maybe not, who knows), I look forward to your white paper.
