    Harold Smith of Dayton at Daytona in 1959. This Studebaker also ran in MARC/ARCA in the midwest. It was later replaced by one of the more aerodynamic models...

    Cale Yarborough and Sam McQuagg at Darlington, 1965. Interesting story about this one. In 1966 at Daytona, I was helping Harry Hyde and the K&K team, and was sitting on the pit wall timing cars. Cale came out and sat down beside me, and we got to talking. He remarked that he led every race he was in the previous year. I told him I didn't think he led a lap in the Southern 500, and he said, "I didn't lead a lap, but Sam and I were fighting for the lead and I was ahead of him when I went over that wall." This wreck was also featured in the movie, "Red Line 7000."
