Liza just emailed me that she finally got on here, so hopefully she will post an introduction on this thread and then begin to go thru the threads and answer some of your concerns.

My friend, Team Canada! Thanks for the welcome. As mentioned before, sooooooooo sorry for the delay. I'll get the hang of this forum thing and join in the conversations as much as humanly possible (while also attempting to sleep and eat from time to time).
First question, how will I know when people respond to something I've posted? Will it send me an email?
It will if you subscribe to the thread... although, at the moment, I don't remember how that's done
Oh, it's at the top of the thread - under "Thread Tools"...
"Each day well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well therefore to this one day for it, and it alone, is life"

I love it when you call me "my dear"... oh, wait...
BAM! I think I did it. Now respond to this and we'll see if it goes to my indycarnation@indycar.com account.
Respond to what??![]()
Welcome Liza!

"There are a number of very knowledgeable and entertaining race fans here. There are also a number of morons. Your job is to figure out which is which." - Rev-Ed
There is a mobile version coming out soon in the next version of vBulletin (the software we use).
You can use your phone, and set the "Style" to "Mobile" in the lower left corner of the page, but it's not quite ideal. Probably says "VB4 TrackForum Default Style" on there now.
I use the straight, "as is" version on my droid- a few drawbacks, but it works.
Woot! Getting them in the ICN inbox now (this could be a bad thing). ;-)
Liza, are you going to have any help dealing with us crazies? Not that we don't want to see your smiling posts, but you are one busy person.........
Thats been the problem in the past with getting communnications out, so I hope you don't get burnt out.
Not ideal, apparently: http://www.trackforum.com/forums/sho...=1#post2495930
Liza, a word of advice, the world outside this Nation sub-forum will lead into depths of racing deprivation that only the hardiest of race fans can handle.
With that, ask PT anything you want, harass Tomas all you want, watch out for a stuffed animal called Gonzo, and don't listen to posters named after Middle Eastern prophets as I still think they are using this forum for subversive activities, as are a couple hundred others.
You got this place figured out fast....
With that, I gotta put a couple of little race fans to bed.
Thanks for getting on here, it will be really appreciated by the Nation members.
First of all welcome Liza! Nice to have communications from the great beyond. Second, I don't like the term flock. PACK is MUCH better. Thirdly, Liza you need to know that there is a group dedicated to Champions only for Champions. Click the community button and you will see groups. Click on that and you will see the group. You will need access to that for Champions.![]()
"Pack" IS much better. What about "gang?" Or "gaggle" or "squad?" Ok...done with that.
I do know about the Champions group...I was one of the cheerleaders behind getting that created. I probably won't visit or post much bc it should stay racing and fan talk. If it's adminstrativey and such, I'll pop in as needed.
Well, what do cars run in? A pack. So thought it was the most appropriate!Secondly, and maybe it was a wrong impression but, that the Champions group was created so that there would be dissemination of information between IndyCar Nation and it's Champions. As such, meet and greets, fan parties, perks just available to Champions etc. I know that supposedly everyone is supposed to get an e-mail on these things but, with both of these avenues we would make sure nobody falls through the cracks and is also a good way to get feedback from planned fan activities or experiences. Just my thought.
I think it is important for the PAID fans to have a place that is their own forum.
Welcome Liza!
