    Richie Bisig, one of the three best Figure 8 drivers I ever saw. The other two were Andy Vertrees and Kenny St. John. Andy and Kenny are still around. We lost Richie several years ago in a construction accident.

    P.B. Crowell of Franklin, Tenn. at Kentucky Motor Speedway, Whitesville. I took this photo during qualifying on the same night Darrell Waltrip crashed his 1958 Ford and Crowell offered him the ride in the team car, No. 48. The rest is pretty much history...

    We had this race covered. Dan Spence of All-Pro and I on the flagstand at Nashville for the first All-American 400. The goggles were because I had gotten my glasses broken by a rock at Winchester a couple of weeks before...
