Wow, if this types of offers happen for every race, I will be impressed. This far exceeds the cost of the membership if you only use one of these offers.

I'm sure there will also be ways to get swag and other stuff, for those that don't get to any race...........

My question would be why is the party not open to all Champion members? The rest is great. But, not all members can attend every race. You are excluding members who can? That doesn't seem fair. If RB is serious about supporting the Nation then his position should be no appearance without the Nation.

I'm sure there are a set number of attendees for these types of parties. This sounds like party involving many more people, so to get 24 reservations to a VIP event like this is amazing.
I used to hold Inner circle dinners for Champcar and we had to limit the amount of people to 50 due to space and trying to make the place a little more intimate.

Again, my question would be who is the priority of this endeavour? As far as I'm concerned we are VIP's. But, maybe I'm mistaken and we just have to accept the scraps that people throw us and pay for it on top of it.

Open it up too much and it's a crowd, not a party, and the value of the experience is reduced. Plus, how do you plan for an unlimited number? You would need a different venue, potentially.

What you paid probably doesn't come near to covering the actual costs. If pace car rides are "scraps" to you, you lead a privileged life

What you do is take reservations from the Champions planning to be at the race with a set deadline so you have a known number. No reservations, no attend. Could be a moot point if the spaces aren't taken anyway. And, I never said that pace car rides or passes were scraps. My point is that we should be having Champions events and if it is a crowd then I guess someone is doing something right. Now, having said that I do think it is a step in the right direction and I'm sure some strings were pulled, and I'm sure it will be a good time for those in attendance so, good job Liza and keep up the good work.

As a followup yes, I do live a privileged life, as do we all. We are alive and live in the good ole U.S.A.

Geez! The things people complain about.... Let's see NASCAR do pace car rides for their fans.... They don't have to do any of this.

Personally, I'm just happy to have snapped up one of those Pace Car rides at Barber. Wonder who's driving?

I see there are pre-race ceremonies still left, this is where you stand in front of the stage for driver intros.

make sure you use Google Maps to get the location of the party before you head off. Stray too far from Shuttlesworth airport, and you're in a rather scary part of Birmingham.

Just searched the address....It's in the better sisde ofthe airport. Get off Interstate 59 at the Tallapoosa Street exit (Exit 128) and go towards the runways. take your first light right onto East Lake Boulevard....There's an Exxon across from a Kangaroo Gas Station at the turn. It'll be on your right. If you see the Everyday One Stop on your left, you've gone too far.

Thanks so much, KevinOneel! I'll have a GPS with me. And possibly a Birmingham resident or two. With your directions, the GPS and the local folk, I'll either find the place immediately or have one hell of an argument!

just sunday, but ya don't need 'em for Saturday.....On Saturday, Grand-Am is doing prerace fans walks on Pit Road for both the Continental tire Series and Rolex series.

Barber's probably one of the most accessable tracks you'll ever visit. Also, if you've never seen the museum, make sure to take some time for it. They'll probably open up the basement level, which is usually restricted. In the basement is where they restore all the vehicles in the museum.

And....there's an outlet mall that just opened on the other side of the interstate from where the track is. That's new since last year. good shops and a nice food court.
