After how many months of bitching? I don't need "free" stuff that bad. If I wanted the crap, I'd just buy it. Wear it in good health though ...

I wanted my membership card the most, don't you need it for some stuff at the track? And, the hat's a pretty nice looking hat.

Not sure I'd want to belong to any club that would have me as a member anyway!

There's no question Liza and her assistant(s) are nice people but the ball for Canadian memberships was dropped. If there was a shipping issue with postal codes they should have A)indentified the issue 6 months ago and B) found a way to get you them at their own expense be it courier or not rather then be afraid to not save employers money. I mean people did pay $34.95 for them and deserve better treatment. After 3-4 months and constant bitching Randy finally got on their case and I believe that's why they suddenly got mailed out post mail strike. They should have bent over backwards to help members but didn't until about a week ago.

These guys wanted us to come to a Canadian race and wander the track looking for them if you please to get the kits initially. While the kits have been mailed it's doubtful with our postal system they'll show up today for Toronto or next week for Edmonton. Really awful how they dealt with this. I'm not a complainer at all and actually loathe having to e-mail anyone with a concern but when people have paid for something they ought to have it in a timely fashion. How would they feel if it were their money? You won't need the card but need a print out showing your account details from Indycar Nation that proves you are a Champion so they told me for Toronto and Edmonton. Wish I knew that a long time ago or I wouldn't have complained. I have lots of hats anyway but wouldn't mind another if entitled.

I have pace car access for today but they never e-mailed how to get the credentials so I'm not going to waste time. I was interested in the Ferrari but that cost extra than the safety car. I have pre-race access too but so fed up with Indycar Nation that I don't know if I will use it even. I notice they've advertised Steph's tweetup as official. While they may be involved Steph planned it and I know will do a great job of things. That's why I'm going to meet her and other rabid individuals from here. Be sure to RSVP.

Good rant and credible too. Give em' hell to keep them honest. I know Liza wasn't all that impressed with me at Milwaukee. But, oh well, it was just constructive comments for the benefit of the members and fans.

Thanks! Does it really matter to you what she thinks of you or others? She should be concerned with what members of the fanclub especially Canadians think of her and the job she has or hasn't done on our behalves above all else. I'm sure she's going to have to deal with people at the race who aren't happy and may resent that. That's a given. I sure won't be one of them as I've given up on the club and those running it.

I don't want to cause myself or her any difficulty. I've only ever spoke in e-mail to try and get the fanclub people to do what members paid them for months ago. It doesn't seem right nothing was done for months. That's all. It's poor public relations and business practice. It should make anyone weary of renewing or paying for Champion status. As far as I can see you really don't get much special or different than people who haven't paid or worth having. A lanyard, hat and access to a few blogs and Trackside Online is pretty much the bonus. Member experiences typically only have to do with each race or so I see.

I really think IndyCar needs to hire an outside advertising firm who are competent, know what the fans want, and can design, build and execute fan club duties efficently and timely. That would have the club working like a well oiled machine and avoid any issues like this.

Nope, it didn't matter what she thought. Second, I am a Champion member along with my wife. And, thirdly, I don't think the Canadiens have been singled out. There were issues way prior to that. It is just becoming evident to our neighbors to the north because it is their turn. I know they are really trying but, my impression is that they have way to much to do with way to little in order to save money and the fact that the majority of ex-fan club members were not recruited to help with the new fan club meant they started from scratch. That is not good. Plus they have their own ideas. I'm willing to give them a year. I like the meet and greets those are cool.

I have heard that when they are trackside and doing events that Liza and assistants do quite well. It's the off track stuff that needs improvement. I'm quite happy former members aren't involved in the direction and design of the club but that's another story for another day. I think Randy really needs to talk to the fans and continue to re-organize this club until it runs without major hiccups.

I do think it needs direction, goals, and the resources to make it happen.

I went for the pace car ride, it was worthwhile, but even though the Indycar Nation site clearly stated that 7 or 9 Pace Car Rides include a Paddock/Garage Credentials, when I got to the track, myself and others were told they did NOT come with the Pit/Garage Credentials as stated on the website, when I got home I checked and unlike other weeks when they leave the info about what is included in each item up until they Tuesday before the next race, this time they were removed from the site today, which in itself seems to be a little odd. The way I see it, I paid $34.95 for my membership this year (I won't have to pay again, thanks to Liza when she straightened up the points redemption issue I had last year), I got a Pace Car ride valued at $35, and a Hat and Lanyard. I won't complain anymore, since I won't be paying to renew in the future as I was given a Lifetime membership. However I and still disappointed in the manner as to what is available and how they treat Canadian fanclub members.

Is there any Canadians out there that has their kit now? Just curious. The thing is they should value all members foreign and domestic the same. It doesn't matter where you come from, curtousy, respect and costumer service needs to be top-noch. That's extremely important as IndyCar Nation and Liza to a smaller extent are the face of IndyCar's fan club. What happened here was totally unacceptable from an internationally known racing series.

Canadians are also some of the most knowledgeable and loyal open-wheel racing fans that you will find on the planet. We know our stuff, we buy your product, support your series and drivers. That should have been taken into account. Just look at the crowds in Edmonton and Toronto. None of those people will have their membership kit on time at Toronto and doubtful Edmonton but they do have a 2 week gap. It's only fair if people are at IndyCar Nation this weekend to mention the difficulty with the kits and why you won't renew. Being nice about it but strong will get it across to them that they dropped the ball.

They should actually do something special or kind for everyone who has waited so long at these events. I really haven't seen an apology for how long it got dragged out. Like I said I don't want to cause Liza or anyone else any problem but doing something and going the extra mile to show IndyCar Nation does care about us Canucks is warrented. I can only bet they'll have a lot of people casually asking "where's my membership kit?" who don't know why.

Anyways, that's the last I will say on the subject because I'm not interested in the fan club any longer. I hope people receive what they paid for though and keep them honest. With it being mailed out it will be coming but perhaps not in time for the Canadian events. I'd rather discuss the Toronto race itself than this any further as I find the whole thing futile.

$34.95!!! Any of you dudes or dudettes interested in an Arizona bridge perhaps? Key point to remember ... you are the ones supporting their product with your hard earned Benjamins. Sheesh ... you'd think they were, like, doing you a favour ... or something.

Last year, when you could get Free Tickets to races or Free Paddock Passes with points, it was well worth the $35, this year, it's not. Last year I got 2 Silver Grandstands Section E and a Paddock/Pit pass and Pre-Race Driver intros and Post-Race Victory Lane Celebration. All for $35 year membership. All I had to do was answer the secret word or question to acquire points to redeem them. This year, as a fan club member, I got the opportunity to try to get 1 of 10 available Pit/Paddock passes, 1 of 7 Pace Car rides (I ended up getting one and it was great, but I could have paid for one at $35) and 1 of 26 (I think there were 26) Pre-Race Driver intros passes. There is no value to being a member anymore.
