Jessie was supposed to die in episode 1.8 but the writers strike saved him after it was recognized he was a very popular character. Had it not been for the strike, there would have been no break in shooting.

I felt season 1 was just right to develop the characters. Slow compared to the rest, but perfect for a season 1.

I thought the episode last night was me least favorite of the season....too rushed, IMO.

I'm not a big fan of MacGuyver-Heisenberg...and he's gone from the hero to become a guy I can no longer root for.

    But still really great stuff.

His dark side has been getting darker & darker for quite a while now... and last night, his explanation of why he wanted to "be an empire builder" gave us a glimpse into just how dark he is, and how much darker he can be.

yep, but I really wanted him to get out of this alive (and with some money) before this season, now not so much...

I'm thinking he deserves a grizzly end more than the chicken man (who I miss) did.

I know what you mean. At the warehouse where they kept the methylamine, when Mike told Walter to turn around because he needed to restrain him .... I found myself kind of hoping Mike was going to put a bullet in him.

This year has been good, but not great. Zapping a police station and then robbing a train - all within a few weeks is a bit of shark jumping and not realistic. Then burning off the handcuff last night - he could have clearly burned that off on the radiator and not his hand.

The opening scene was solid, as is most of the show - just a little different and over the top than used to.

Good thing or he would have had to depend on winnings from 'The Price is Right:'

Big fan. I've watched each episode from the first and enjoyed every one of them. Last weeks still to go on the DVR as I was at MIS.

I'm just curious... Do any of you Breaking Bad fans stick around to watch Small Town Security?

Everything was fine when Walt & Mike went their separate ways... and then, Walt totally stepped over the line.

I was just wondering... I've gotten my fill of those freaks just watching the Soup. Then I heard this week that it comes on right after "Breaking Bad"... This was a complaint made by one of the female leads from "Breaking Bad" upset that they "One of the best Dramas on TV" was so closely associated with "Small Town Security"

Don't laugh at me she was making a guest appearance on the Soup... That's the only reason I know this stuff.

I thought last night's episode was one of the best ever. Walt is clearly an evil man consumed with power and a need to be worshipped. Cult of personality.

It definitely kept me glued to the tv... definitely an egomaniac at this point.

    SPOILER ALERT BELOW:

I'm talking about how the plot was contrived to arrive at last night's final scene.....Walter being at the right place at the right time (again) for the news on the attorney flipping, Mike allowing Walt to make the grab the stash and not Jesse or his attorney and Walt for how smart he is not realizing about Lydia before the final scene. Just very contrived, IMO.
