We're not just lazy -- we're FAT too

Study: Indiana ranks 15th in nation in obesity

    29% obese
36% "just" overweight and not obese

Now go do something about it.

I heard that the LEAST obese state today is higher than the MOST obese state in 1995. That is sad.

THAT is amazing. Did they change the standards?

Personally I don't want to live to be so old that I can't take care of myself. Problem is I don't know at what age that would happen.

I dunno. It was on NPR on the drive home. I like Doritos, but not a bag a day.

One of my sisters use to attack the Charlie Chips can as soon as they were delivered to the house. She would eat the entire can of potato chips before Mom and Dad got home from work. it got so bad and uncontrolable that our folks ended up changing our order so we got 1 can of pretzels and 2 cans of potato chips each month so the the rest of us might have a chip or two for ourselves.

The weird thing about it was that she was the only one in the family who never had to fight the weight battle. She ate like a bird the rest of the month.

Good luck to everybody who is trying to shed some tonnage. I know it's not easy.

I don't eat great myself, but I love getting outside and doing FUN active things. I hate running for the sake of running; I'd much rather play team sports or take my kid on a bike ride. That's how I'm able to stay just short of the official "overweight" mark.

I'm not talking about age to be fat I'm talking about age to die.

That depends entirely on how well you take care of yourself.

That part has not kicked in yet. But if she had a regular job that provided insurance I don't think she could be denied. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
