James Hurtubise, June, 1964
Kayem hot dog, steamed, on a real bun (not one of those damn mini sub rolls the rest of the country uses), with mustard, relish, and onions.
I'll have 'em other ways. Sauerkraut and spicy mustard, or chili and cheese. My mom makes AWESOME chilidogs from back when she ran the hot dog truck at Logan.
Basically, the things I avoid are ketchup and mayonnaise, especially mayonnaise. Just don't like mayo.
At the local James Coney Island, chili, cheese, and washed diced onions. At the ballpark where the vendor's canned excuse for chili gives me heartburn, deli mustard and a little ketchup.
Usually brown mustard (Bertman's or Stadium, to be specific), sometimes ketchup or chili (just the meat and sauce). Cheese and bacon are also possibilities with the latter two.
Some fans claim one series or another runs "real race cars." What's everybody else running, fake race cars?
