Is that first car we have seen with the fin painted?

There was more time laying decals on, square to the world, then that paint scheme. That thing looks like a friggin tank. Good God.

Very nice job by the SC team. Funny how there's that old Snake Napa dragster in the background though!

Me too, last year's paint scheme was ugly. Ganassi seems to always have the ugliest cars and it's too bad because they are usually up front.

A guy like aowzone could work wonders for Ganassi to make those winning Target cars just a little prettier to look at.

It looks nice, but I feel like if the red and blue switched roles it'd look even better, just opinion
The other Service Central car over @RRL might flip the colors???

I agree it might look better... + NAPA & Valvoline would like to be on a blue background as well

Much better than last year. That said, I'd like to see a version that utilizes the SC color scheme. Red, Gold, and Black.

We get it, you hate the new car, stop crop dusting this thread with your tiresome/annoying quips about the chassis.

There is a reason they keep using red/white/blue... SC is also promoting NTB & their main colors are BLUE.

And how is this contructive critisism?
Perhaps its just his OPINION... forums allow fans to post more than criticism!!!

FlatOut might be smacking the looks of the chassis & the bloated side pods BUT he might also be disapointed that the NTB logo is not (1) Larger & (2) Angled to fill up more of the new pod's shape.

The car is brand new, yet some teams are employing the same old concepts in terms of sponsor size/placement

Not saying posters aren't allowed opinions. I asked Flatout why he was here because clearly everything is wrong in the series to him. He replied that his posts are constructive in nature. just pointing out the pure BS in his reply. I have no problem with opinions. But when a poster is darn near 100% negative, why be here other than to do things like his post here and bash the chassis once again in a paint scheme thread.

Also, it looks like they're going to rotate the brand on the sidepod based on what brand name they use in the race's market, rather than just running the generic SC logo. Seems like a much better way of building brand awareness. Now if they could only do that on their dragsters as well...

By the way, did anybody notice that the Fuzzy's car has changed from black/metallic gold to BRG/yellow? Lotus confirmation?

EDIT: Yes I know that the Lotus factory colors are the JPS black/gold but, IIRC, those are reserved for the factory partner teams. Customer teams have to choose from other historical Lotus color schemes.
Some fans claim one series or another runs "real race cars." What's everybody else running, fake race cars?

Love the look of the SC car! Did one of the designers from TF design this? If so, well done!

Did you not read my posts about the car looking bad as*, fast and wicked looking and close to the old cars? And yes, people complain when a car, in this day and age looks like a tank with bumpers and is aeroly dragged and topped out at 215.

I'd bet the green has more to do with keeping with the golf theme than anything else.

I figured it was more of a way to get away from the black, because really Fuzzy's colors are Green/gold.

I do agree with this part. Target used up the space pretty well but I'd like to see someone push the design a little more. That big hump is there, at least dress it up with lines and I'd like to see someone post a logo on the angle versus straight. Maybe INDYCAR has said "no". NASCAR is pretty tight on where and how you can paint or decal you car.

I realize that but it doesn't change the fact that I would like to see the car in Red, Gold, and Black livery.

Or maybe they don't want to be confused as a Lotus when they are really with (Honda/Chevy)?

With the opportunity to capitalize on two sports I would think that Chevy would be interested in ECR because of the golf tie-in.

....and that SC car is looking good.
