Don't be so-ooo sensitive... no one forced you to originally state that Hyundai & Kia were completely separate

Platform sharing & other activities are not completely separate. Fiat owns Chrysler... yet Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Mopar,Ram, & SRT all have individual leaders & marketing VPs that answer to Fiat back in Italy. I'm sure if the Viper returns to racing... Fiat will work with Chrysler's SRT to promote the "Italian" bits of the new V-10 powered snake car.

My point is Hyundai probably is briefed of Kia's motorsport plans too. As you wish not to split hairs... I will now drop this.

It's also a long established corporate color of Hewlett Packard.

Also, Players Blue seemed a tad lighter to my eye...

Whereas all of the red, white and blue collages will all blend together.
We have a ton of "JPS Lotus" Black & Gold cars...

...quite a few multiple shaded BLUE cars (Barrichello, Kanaan, Tagliani, Sato, & Kimball)...

...Black/White with Red accents (Briscoe, Power,) Red with White (Dario, Dixie, & Kanaan Itaipava car) White with Red (Wilson).

The only two red/white blue cars are Marco & Graham? Seems to me they will stand out, not blend together!!!

I think they look much better from behind than the old car did...

The old Dallara wasn't a beauty queen, but she didn't have bumpers (junk in her trunk ) in the back either

You look at all the white areas on Marco's car and it certainly looks like they have all that white space remaining for a sponsor (or sponsors), the side plates of the front wing, the sponsor blocker (how ironic or ICONIC) and the front side of the rear wing all plain white waiting for a sponsor.

Yeah it sure looks like that space is being reserved for yet TBA associate sponsors. As good as Andretti Autosport is at coming up with paint designs I can't imagine them just leaving those areas blank as would look weird.

The RC Cola car is a pretty good design but I am going to miss the Venom Car. That Black & Red livery complete with Venom logos and font was really sharp and probably the best looking car this past year.

3 things I caught from the #77 video and photos:

1: Magnolia stayed on. Yet Bowers & Wilkins, whom partnered with Magnolia last year on the car, went to BHA...

(For those who don't know, Magnolia is Best Buy's high-end home theater retailer. A store within a store, Magnolia specializes in those who want a custom home theater with all of the goodies. One of their biggest brands for speakers: Bowers & Wilkins.)

2: The Chris Griffis and Dan Wheldon stickers on the car. Kinda forgot how those two events happened so close together for that team. Be interesting to see them rebound throughout the season.

3: Maybe it is just me, but the DW12 looks so badass without the wheels and wings. Merge it with the Delta Wing, lol.

Potential good news for you... the VENOM colors will probably show up at select 2012 events as the main livery.

Many have said AA will rotate Dr Pepper-Snapple Group products on the #26

Magnolia was on the car because that is where you can get B&W speakers, in Canada Magnolia was not on the car, Futureshop (Futureshop is also a BestBuy like store that is also the same company as BestBuy) was. I would assume by that, Magnolia was most likely paying a Co-op fee to B&W. I know form experience on a 53' trailer I did for Warner Bros. DVD release of 300 and HBO Rome Season 2, it didn't take much for Futureshop to get on the truck. The Futureshop logo is on Gerard butler's arm on the 300 side and under the Release date on the Rome Side. The same would most likely be what Magnolia and Futureshop had with B&W, Magnolia and Futurshop would have paid B&W to be on the car. My guess is that Sam Schmidt was able to convince Magnolia to up the ante and become a true sponsor. I wouldn't consider them stealing the sponsorship from Tag or BHA, as B&W was and is their sponsor not Magnolia, they were just a B&W co-op.

Not visible in the video, but it is on the inside of the rear wing. Can't find a photo atm, though.

I know Citgo sponsored Milka but have they been on cars other than the 7-Eleven Cogan car in 1986 and Emmo in 1985?

They had been a primary sponsor in NASCAR from about 1983-2003-ish?

EJ's livery reminds me of the Justin Wilson's CDW sponsored ChampCar. I like both

Good call, I had forgotten about that car. Good to see the teams are also getting creative with their numbers, I like it. Now let's see if #5 is Viso's lucky number, hasn't had the same number for 2 seasons in IICS (33, 13, 8, 59, and now 5)

Speaking of numbers, I know this has been asked before but I have yet to hear a reason, does anyone know why so many teams are using the small numbers on the rear endplate. Just seems weird to waste all of that space and put a small unreadable number on there.
I'm gonna wiggle it at 'em, you cheap b@st@rd. Be prepared, because when I yank it out, everybody in that audience except my wife is gonna be runnin' for the exits.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe in the anticipation of adding sponsor stickers along with it, but that's my only guess. I'd rather the bigger numbers.

It's gonna suck seeing a livery that good wadded up every week.

So... is EJ really going to be allowed to run that number? It's more ID/Logo than number. Don't like to set that precedent at all. I don't like uniform Sports Car numbers, but keep it clean and classy...

Good livery but yes, that number is awful. A graphic designer is only as good as his worst element, and that one is pretty bad.

Good, now every other driver can visibly see Viso before they get punted.
I am a fan of the IZOD IndyCar Series, Formula 1, and AMA Supercross in that respective order.

Bold livery... but this turning the number into a logo deal has gotta stop!!!!

At least Barrichello's #8 is cool looking while it's barely readable... EJ jammed into the #5 is UGLY + makes the number harder to read @speed!!!
