ESPN is NOT promoting IndyCar... ESPN is promoting ESPN. In today's society of tattoos, nose rings, piercings, et al, it is obvious that trash is popular... but guess what? It's still trash!
INDYCAR... Home of the BEST RACING on the planet!

    Trash? Wow.

Of course it's ESPN promoting their magazine by featuring athletes with muscular, cut physiques. I look at it as the beauty of the human body.

    Was Michelangelo's David trash?

    This is obscene.

I hope Randy actually did something to make this happen.

    Photo is rediculous and comical...

Anyone who thinks that photo depicts Indycar positively isn't being objective

My final thoughts on this disgusting photo. If all of you who are defending this photo saw a nude man in a tire swing at your local park, would you think its OK or call the police? I would call the police. Why anyone thinks this photo is appropriate is beyond me. Ernest

If he was at a public park sure I'd call the cops too, but do you know he was at a public park? Maybe he was on private property.

Here is a couple of questions for you Ernest:
Is it disgusting and inappropriate for me to sit naked in my hot-tub on my property?
Is it disgusting and inappropriate for me to sit naked in the sauna at the gym?

It's a human body... certainly nothing inappropriate or to be ashamed of (at least IMO).

Its supposed to be a sports magazine that is read by kids. Do you find that appropriate? I certainly don't. Ernest

That may now top the list of silly posts regarding this. Didn't think that would happen.

If you think ESPN's magazine is a KIDS' magazine, you are SORELY mistaken. I can buy your logic with Sports Illustrated, but not with ESPN The Magazine. No way.

ESPN is a sports brand and thats how they market themselves. I have yet to see a TV program in the thirty years ESPN has been in existence that features a nude man on a tire swing. You are the one mistaken sir. Ernest

Since Helio can't win a race anymore, he might as well sell something other then his racing ability.

Ernest, that is weak! Admit it, he got you on that one.

A TV ad will never be confused with regular programming. Ernest

Whatever, give it up, you were clearly not referring to strictly a TV program.

Why would they have posed him on a tire swing when there is a perfectly good yard of bricks they could have utilized is beyond me

I find it as appropriate as the SI Swimsuit issues. You've seen a few of those, haven't you, Ernest?

I'll bet you used them a lot when you were a kid!
