    Trackforum Safety Fence Idea

skcoop80 has a good idea for a shock-absorbing "non-catch" fence. I added some ideas too it too. Is this the proper forum for track-related mechanical discussion? Or is this only to talk about car mechanics? I'm referring the thread to the experts here.

In addition to fencing what are they doing to reduce speeds by 50 or so mph, to sub 180 levels?

Add a flexible smaller-grid fence as so.

Looks like you are suggesting springs, but a leaf spring could work. Your idea for a deflected angle to attach to the fence seems simplistically elegant.
