Raheem Brock and his entire staff were fired by Tampa Bay this morning. Steve Spagnulolo of the Rams is gone, SDs Norv Turner will be fired today. More to follow.

The usual Monday Colts press meeting went off with no one fired.

Do they all survive or is Irsay taking his time to evaluate all options?

We're already talking about most of this in the more generic (non-Colts-centric) NFL Week 17 thread.

It would be nice to know if you have a strong replacement before burning bridges.

Mike Freeman of CBS reporting about Jeff Fisher:

"But I'm told by a source close to Fisher that of all the jobs, two mainly intrigue him.

One is Indianapolis (though it's not certain the Colts will fire Jim Caldwell). Fisher, I'm told, loves the idea of coaching either Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck (or both). Well, yeah, of course he would. What coach wouldn't?

I'm told another top choice for Fisher is a surprising one--Tampa Bay. Fisher feels the roster is more talented than it shows. I'd argue with Fisher on that one."

I'd be fine with Jeff Fisher coming here.

Glad the Polians are gone and hopefully Caldwell follows them out the door as well.

Is this because he was responsible for the winningest era in the history of the team and orchestrated a Superbowl win and a return trip....... or is it for some personal reason?

Why would it be personal? I've never met him and I doubt any of know him.

Polian is responsible for throwing two games to kill any chance at an undefeated season.
Polian is responsible for throwing the O-Line under the bus after the SB loss.
Polian is responsible for these recent first round picks:
    2007 Anthony Gonzalez
    2008 None
    2009 Donald Brown
    2010 Jerry Hughes
    2011 Anthony Castonzo

Do you want him making this pick? Besides, what coach wants to work for Polian?

Heard a guy on the radio yesterday who said that Irsay wants to keep Peyton as the starter while the Pollians wanted to cut him, draft Andrew Luck and throw everything on his back.

If that's true (and who really knows anymore), then I support the Polianx2 firing 100%. It would be nice to know what to believe anymore though, because it seems like 90% of everything we hear is speculation and conjecture.

Oh lighten up, it was just a little light hearted jab. If the only Ravens fan on this board weren't too young to have experienced the anxiety of the move I would be a bit more sensitive.

I always get a kick out of Chris owning it as if he was old enough to have actually experienced it. Makes for some fun reading.

Being from Baltimore I experienced the empty Sunday's in the fall/winter..

If you spent anytime in my city you will see we still have that wound from the Colts leaving.. The Colts put our city on the map.. We got screwed by Robert Irsay and the NFL.. Hell the NFL screwed us twice by not awarding us a expansion franchise which we deserved much more then Carolina and Jacksonville..

Again you can laugh all you want but unless you lived here, you will never get it..

How old were you in when that happened?

I was two.. My father had season tickets to the Colts for 10-15 years all the way up to the move.. We have had Ravens season tickets since the very first day.. I have only missed 4 home games in Ravens history including Preseason and Postseason games..

Baltimore gave up the right to B&M when they stole the Browns. Enuff already.

Now, back to the topic at hand...

I experienced my first 20 years without a team in Indy.

    So?

If you spent anytime in my city you will see we still have that wound from the Colts leaving.. The Colts put our city on the map..
Then you and your fellow town folk should have appreciated them when they were there. Had you built them a stadium we would be talking about an expansion team in Indianapolis.

No, you guys screwed yourselves. It's funny that you can't recognize that.

That was the only way we would have gotten a team back and the Ravens now have one of the strongest fanbases in the NFL..
