Colts pick up RB Deji Karim off waivers from the Jags.
He didn't carry much, backing up MJD. But he did return a lot of kicks.

Cancer sucks.
The Colts also picked up another Stanford receiver from among the undrafted free agents. WR Griff Whalen caught 56 passes for 749 yards and 4TD from Andrew Luck in 2011.
Other UndFAs (none of which stand out to me, although you'll note that most of them are on defense):
DT James Aiono (Utah)
LB Chris Galippo (Southern Cal)
CB Micah Pellerin (Hampton)
CB Antonio Fenelus (Wisconsin)
CB Cameron Chism (Maryland)
DB Buddy Jackson (Pittsburgh)
OL Hayworth Hicks (Iowa State)
OL Steve Baker (East Carolina)
OL Jason Foster (Rhode Island)
WR Jabin Sambrano (Montana)
S Matt Merletti (North Carolina)
P Brian Stahovich (San Diego State)
DE Kevin Eagan (Endicott)
After years of fighting and a split, guess what, we are all IndyCar
October will always be a sad racing month for me. RIP Greg and Dan. You both were great and we miss you.
Vince had the perfect opportunity last season. Got to work with great coaches, had several chances to come in with Vick's injuries and show he had grown up and changed. Blew it...except for the win over the Giants, he was terrible. At some point you have to admit that he is a physical talent that could overcome his mental weaknesses in college, but not in the NFL.
Texans signed running back Justin Forsett who has been with Seattle for 4 years except for a brief stretch with the Colts. He's a really good kid who just didn't fit with the Seahawks any more, he's small and fast but Seattle has Leon Washington for that role. I hope he sticks with Houston and does well, he works his butt off.
Update:
The Indianapolis Colts will host a FREE Lucas Oil Stadium Open House, Mini-Camp Practice and Select-a-Seat promotion from 11:30am to 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 13th. The fan open house portion of the day will be from 11:30am to 1:30pm and will include access to the field from 11:30am to 12:30pm. The field will be cleared for the full-squad practice at 12:30pm. Practice is scheduled to start at 2:00pm and conclude at approximately 4:15pm.
Fans will also have a chance to select season tickets from approximately 2,400 available seats. All available seats will be tagged allowing fans to sit in the seat to see their view of the field before purchasing season tickets. Nearly all of the available season tickets will be in the upper level and are $690/seat. A few single seat season tickets will be available in all price levels of Lucas Oil Stadium. For any season tickets you would like to purchase, please remove the tag(s) from the seat(s) and take them to the ticket office outside of section 121. Select-a-Seat will run from 11:30am to 6:00pm.

Nice idea. Too bad they are doing it on a weekday, though.

The Colts sold 260 season tickets at the minicamp open house (which is about $180,000 in revenue!).
According to The Star:
The Colts came into June with 3,500 unsold season tickets, but that number has been pared to about 2,100, nearly all of which are upper-level seats priced at $690.
Colts sign RB Mewelde Moore.
He didn't do a lot of rushing for MIN and PIT over eight seasons, but he did compile an average of 4.5 yards per carry.
Perhaps more importantly -- he is yet another kick/punt returner. Got a lot of those on the roster now, it seems...
A little vindication for those of us that said all along that the release of Peyton and draft of Luck was inevitable:
Also very interesting:“I knew when I walked out of that locker room, I knew that it had ended,” Irsay said Thursday during a lengthy interview in his office. “I saw players in that locker room who I’d known for years and knew they wouldn’t be back. On my way to the airport, there were tears rolling down my face.’’
One of those players, of course, was Peyton Manning.
http://www.indystar.com/article/2013...nclick_check=1According to Irsay, in 2004, a frustrated Polian was at wit’s end as he attempted to secure Manning’s new $98 million contract and, in a fit of pique, told Irsay, “We need to trade Peyton; we can get a bunch of defensive players and become like Tampa Bay or Baltimore.” Irsay said no. “Understand something, Bill: We are not trading Peyton Manning, period,’’ Irsay recalled telling the former team vice chairman.
Another frightening revelation in that article is that Irsay would've drafted RGIII with the second pick and still let Peyton go.
So I also feel vindicated/justified in rooting for the Jaguars in week 17.

Maybe here, but I watched that game in a bar and there were plenty of dirty glares being given to those in Colts gear who were cheering for the Jaguars. I pretty much rooted quietly, until about the 4'th quarter. Everybody else at my table was pretty vocal from the beginning. I'd say it was probably 75/25 in favor of Jags, in that particular establishment.
I sure hope so. The last thing that I want is Skip Bayless on my side.BTW, I wonder if Skip Bayless still thinks the Colts should have drafted Griffin.
"5 Free Agents the Colts Should Consider"
This is a very good and interesting list. They misleadingly use a photo of Mike Wallace at the top of the article, but thankfully they leave him out of consideration.

Of them, Brandon Albert, Louis Vasquez and Cary Williams would be at the top of my list. Get 2 out of 3 of those and suddenly you have a lot more flexibility in the upcoming draft.
Jeff Saturday to sign 1 day contract to retire as a Colt on Thursday.
The guy that would've rather retired than come back and play for the 2-14 Colts, gets to come back and retire with the 11-5 Colts. Oh, they irony.
Oh well, whatever. #87 took a pay cut to come back and be a part of rebuilding those 2-14 Colts into something special, even after they dissed him by going after Garcon first. I know who I appreciate and who I do not.

I'm by no means a Colts fan but that dam Pat McAffee is freaking hilarious on B&T.
He's my favorite punter.

I knew I liked McAfee when NBC fired him for saying something supposedly non-PC.
I agree. Did you hear him yesterday talking about his crazy uncles calling him after he got franchised? He wasn't exaggerating about his uncles.
And its apparently a new day for bob & tom. They used to do anything and everything to hide the fact that they were in Indy.

I can only hear them on the way to work...about 15 minutes so I don't listen all that much.
Couple days ago he was talking about his Brother stashing his porn magazines under Pat's mattress. Went on to say his Brother used to call the 800 number sex lines on their home phone.
When the Parent's asked about it the Brother told them Pat was the one into the porn and go look under his bed.![]()
If it were a business decision (i.e. big contract) I would have no problem with it. It wasn't, it was personal. He wanted to chase another ring and he would have preferred to not get paid at all over getting paid by the Colts. I don't hate him for it, but I'm just saying we have a fantastic example of someone who handled a very similar situation exactly the opposite, and he (Reggie) is the one that should get the really deep appreciation from the fans and the city.
Chiefs released RT Eric Winston a few days ago. I don't know much about him, could he help the Colts? They really struggled at that position last year.
