I saw something on TV about the process the Colts went through evaluating Leaf and Manning... very thorough. They'd be dumb not to do the same thing this time. If Luck is smart he'll tell them that if they don't pick him he'll come back and kick their *ss...
Two things certain:
Manning will beat the colts next time he plays them.
Colts won't be playoff caliber for at least 3 seasons.
More on Satele, including what his signing means for Saturday, and how good the Raiders running game was the last couple seasons with Satele at center.
OUCH!
VIDEO of Redskins hit on Manning
It's been a LONG time since I had seen this video... that kind of hit could have ended his career right there.
Shows how tough 18 has been throughout his career.
He certainly seemed concerned about his arm when he was on the ground.
My worse injury in football came from a double hit. I was hit in the front just above the knees and in the lower back at the same time. And as usual for me the injury took place during practice... And they wonder why I have no interest in our reunions.
It knocked me into the school's production of the Robe for the rest of the football season my senior year... As well as losing any hope of getting a football scholarship from I.U. Ended up in Oregon playing tennis. Playing Demetrius in the Robe did get me over any qualms I had over public speaking though. And that has faired better for me in the long run than being able to catch a football.
And yes... Before anyone asks, all threads are really about me.![]()

BREAKING: Jeff Saturday signs with Packers according to ESPN's Adam Schefter
I know this for a fact:
1. Jeff wanted to go wherever Peyton went.
2. He was interviewing with the Packers earlier this week and then headed to Denver.
Apparently he didn't like what he heard/saw in Denver.![]()
Ryan Diem retired. That means the Broncos didn't want him either.
Another former Colt signed...

Denver reached agreement on a three-year, $9 million deal with former Colt Jacob Tamme, who will be reunited with Broncos Peyton Manning.
Irsay says he's undecided.
I know the knee-jerk reaction from some will be that he's lying, but there are actually valid reasons why he might actually be undecided.
It's okay if I'm undecided... I would just feel better if the Colts knew by now which direction they were headed.
They do know which direction they are headed. They will draft a QB with the #1 pick.
There's really no reason to know which one at this point, before they have a private throwing session with Luck and go through whatever other considerations they have. Time is on their side. It's not like the QB can start practicing with the team if they make their decision right now.
Dave Furst tweeted that the Colts didn't schedule a private work out with RGIII but did with Luck....I think that answers the question right there.

I don't think it's knee jerk. Look at what Washington offered for the 2nd pick. I very seriously doubt that they did not at least first call the Colts and see if they would take the same offer. There is just no logical reason to hang on to the #1 overall pick, as valuable as it is this year, if you're not planning on using it on Luck. This whole "Luck vs RGIII" thing is trumped up because the media **cough ESPN cough** wants a story line. It's exactly what happened in '98. 32 out of 32 GM's would have picked Manning and 32 out of 32 now would pick Luck.
People usually lie because there's something to gain. I don't see anything for Irsay to gain by lying about this.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're leaning 95% toward Luck, but then it still wouldn't be lying.
I believe the best term used so far is due diligence. That's exactly what it looks like to me.
According to the article it could be a negotiating ploy. That doesn't make sense to me though, as Luck will undoubtedly get the league maximum for a rookie. I don't have any clue what would be Irsay's motivations. I don't have any doubts that he has already made up his mind though, as has been reported by many sources for several months now.
I think it's time for Andrew Luck to start messing with people and tell them he's undecided, maybe even take a job at an Architectural firm.

I'm just thinking it would be a good way to escape all the silliness around him. And a funny response to people who think he still has to prove something by giving them a private throwing session.
"Private throwing session? Sorry I have to be at work."
Nope, but I am 180 degrees from you on this. I am much more trusting of sources from someone like Adam Schefter than I am of what someone like Irsay says publicly. There are all sorts of reasons to say certain things publicly, whether they are really true or not. A good journalist is not going to report something from a source unless that person has proven themselves trustworthy.
In this case my best guess is that Irsay knows that some fans are still very upset and he wants to appear to be taking his time making as informed of a decision as possible, which is exactly why he waited so long to cut Peyton, as well, imo.
